Get Rashford on for Bruno and play Ronaldo deeper.

Take Ronaldo off. He hasn’t been bad but I cannot stand how everyone’s default is to aim a ball at him. You could have Sancho standing unmarked on the penalty spot and Bruno or Antony would still try to cross it to Ronaldo marked by 4 players at the corner flag.

Get Ronaldo out, everyone is trying to find him even when tons of better options are out there ffs.

This game sums up why Eriksen in invaluable. Nobody in that Midfield comes close to his passing range.

They all try to pass it to ronaldo but if only they hit their target

I’m extremely worried about our lack of goal threat this season.

Antony good. Fred utter shite. The rest meh. Expecting a way better second half.

Funny how it seemed like the Portuguese speaking contingent had issues with the English lads last season.

Our biggest problems in the team right now is Bruno, Ronaldo, Dalot and Fred. All shite and would be a far better team if we upgraded these four with technical players.

The biggest hindrance of Ronaldo is the fact he's the only player anyone looks for in the final third. It costs us time and time again.

We really need to work on our finishing, it's simply abysmal and nowhere near what we need. We can't hit a fecking barn door.

Fred is a disaster, losing possession constantly. Lucky to be 0-0 still.

Antony and Sancho have been our two best in the first half.
Fred has been a disaster, and I think I would prefer Iqbal instead of him. Or maybe Lindelöf in defense and then Martinez in Fred`s position.

Pass had to go Bruno there from Antony

    100%

Can't believe he went for Ronaldo when Bruno was an easy slip ball inside. This is the difference with us and City, that chance wouldn't have beeb wasted, Bruno would have received that pass and he'd have either had an effort on goal or set up and easier chance for the striker.

We seem team obsessed with hitting a static target, ETH has to get Ronaldo off the pitch, he's holding us back every game he starts.

Pretty lackluster performance. Would hook Fred off at half time. If we want to be conservative we could move Bruno back to play with Casemiro and play Sancho behind Ronaldo and bring Rashford on the left if he can give us a half.

Otherwise I have no issue with bringing on Iqbal or Mainoo as neither can have a worse performance than Fred had

    Jeez,
Get Ronaldo out, everyone is trying to find him even when tons of better options are out there ffs.
This is said over and over. How about replacing the guys who can't complete a pass?
    Novel concept I know.

Seems like Rashford would be made for this Route 1 football though, surprised he's not playing.

btw, we apparently have the Newcastle house announcers calling the game -- I'm not sure why.

Our only forward players who don't default to finding Ronaldo in the box are the two not playing today, and maybe Sancho at a push. Very weird behavior.

Second best again when it comes to getting control of the game, winning second balls and creating chances through possession. We offered more threat on the counter, but it's all we ever seem to be able to do against any half decent side. Getting a bit tiring.

This game sums up why Eriksen in invaluable. Nobody in that Midfield comes close to his passing range.

This is it for me. I already thought he was our best player, but games like this prove it. We don't look that dangerous and the attack and midfield aren't joining up well. At times, it feels like the pitch is too big for these players and that they're playing really far apart from each other, without a real way of connecting.

About equal, but Newcastle were the slightly better team. We are lucky not to be behind, however. Dalot and especially Fred have been brutal. Shaw and Sancho were good. Ronaldo works hard, but he is just so slow. Our desperate need for a CF grows more and more evident each match. I think Bruno and Antony would be better off without him on the pitch.

Still looking like a top 6 struggle from years gone by, little fluency or threat.

Eriksen has shown up all our mega money signings or big wage players. We're lucky to have a footballer in the squad in Eriksen.

Antony is another idiot who's starstruck by Ronaldo.
It’s actually bizarre. He has his rabid fanbases online but actual other professional footballers do the same thing !

Have bossed possession 62% but only 1 shot on target in that half which didn't come until 38 minutes. Still as ropey as ever on set pieces with lads switching off.

Fred has been a fecking disaster. Casemiro not great either.

Casemiro probably been our best MF, although not saying much, we need more creativity in there.

Fred is just running around wildly, Bruno has been non-existent, Dalot looks like a mistake waiting to happen and Ronaldo has offered very little.

Plus sides - Shaw, Sancho and Antony looking tidy and threatening, and feel much safer with Martinez and Varane back together.

Not really sure how we improve given our bench options. We're far too reliant on Eriksen. Bruno's drop-off is kinda staggering at this point.
