It is if we had a decent midfield. Great that Carrick is in there, but we are having to shoehorn Rooney in there to play two up front. I would rather have Rooney with Falcao and give RVP a rest today.

lolz @ this thread. Those pitchforks have been sharpened all week. NO one here knows what the injury was... it could have been his hamstring and it could just be a twisted ankle. People are pathetic. No wonder other clubs hate us. You are like a child who did not get present they wanted wanted for christmas. We still have a team that has Rooney, RVP and Falcao. I think it is gold that we are crying about Fellaini now... Same people who were ready to burn him at the stake.

If they step out and bring the ball out it will cause their midfield to break position. Mata should find holes. Again provided they can carry the ball out

Without Herrera, Di Maria, Rafael, Rojo, Blind, Januzaj, Shaw but at least the striker trio and Mata is on the pitch. It's hard to get excited when before every game an injury update punches you in the face.

Sorry I've just woken up and didn't really think out that message.

I mean it's the same team as against Villa where we were flat and struggled to create and score. The only positive difference is that Carrick is in midfield rather than defence.

No Di Maria, no Herrera, no Fellaini.

Dont like to be moaner but these line ups over the past few games do not excite me at all. All 3 of our strikers are very similar, they are all superb finishers but they all lack pace. If plan A doesn't work then we have no plan b. There is no variety in there, we are slow and predictable. Fair enough we have injuries but I would even be more excited and confident with Fellaini in there, atleast he brings something different. We are Man United, we should not be playing 5 at the back against anyone, let alone teams that are struggling.
