We thought we would beat Newcastle last season, these games haven't been easy over the last couple of seasons. The fact they have a third string goalie might help, as long as we actually put him under pressure. So this?
------------De Gea
------Jones----Mcnair-------Evans
Valencia--------------------------Young
-----------Rooney-----Carrick
-----------------Mata
---------Falcao-----------Van Persie
Even with the injuries, should be good enough to beat Newcastle at home. Plenty of goals in that side, and big Dave keeping them out at the other end.
50 Seperate injuries aren't bad luck. He is doing something very wrong for your players to be dropping like flies.
Yes it was. The 2011/12 season was arguably worse.
It has to be our training sessions. feck bad luck. This is much more than that.
Young and Valencia are the only providers of pace and "trickery" in this team. This is going to be yet another awful game to watch...
Nah, you're fishing, now feck off.
Did LvG have massive injury problems @ his other gigs, especially in his first year there?
It would depend if Giggs actually has the balls to tell him that.Good to see Falcao again on the pitch, but what is LVG & co. doing in practise? You'd think Giggs could notice if LVG overtrain his players, he was with Sir Alex over 20 years.
It's really impossible to say with any certainty but it cannot be a coincidence, it was not this bad in previous seasons. Now it's one player returns, two other get injured.
What are you even doing here?Your manager is a fraud.
Fecking hope not, unless we're 2-0 up with 5 minutes to go. Much rather have Valencia go to CM and Rafael come in at wing back.Unfortunately he could still come on, that is how bad the injuries are.
Don't know if it's him per se, as it was poor under Moyes and SAF in the last couple of years, but there is indeed something seriously wrong.50 Seperate injuries aren't bad luck. He is doing something very wrong for your players to be dropping like flies.
I'm sure the club is deliberately trying to get its players injured.
Because until LVG came our injury record was fantastic, while his injury record at previous clubs was terrible.
Oh no, wait...thats bollocks.
Want to see a real performance by Mata today. It's about time.
It was as bad, the difference is that, our main players weren't as injury prone, now we are relying on our historical, walking injuries.
So you think it's all down to pure luck? The whole freaking season and the ones before are all down to luck? Mourinho has had a pretty good injury records wherever he went. We have to change sth mate. I don't believe for a second this is all down to pure coincidence.
Its been discussed in a thread in the Utd forum.

It's odd how we have so many injuries and RVP remains completely uninjured. Not that I want him injured, mind.
This bad? I read somewhere United have had more injuries in the first 4 months of this season than chelsea have had in 2 years.

He had them at the beginning of Bayern ... but generally no.
That and we'd benefit massively from playing something close to our strongest 11 every week. These injuries just ruin matches. It's hard to get excited by line-ups when players you want to see keep getting hurt. Hopefully we still get the win even with little pace in the team.

Not this bad and not to the quality of players missing. In past years it might have actually been a relief that some were injured. This season the quality is injured and the perceived back ups aren't.Not quite as bad, but pretty terrible. Its been going on for years now.
Thanks. It also would be interesting to see how many injuries occurred in matches (club & international) vs. how many were suffered in training, new injuries vs. injuries during the rehab period. It's beyond the pale now.
