You meant to quote my other post right ? It is frustrating this season, the team doesn't have many exciting player and when the few ones get injured :( ..

Yeah sorry, when you look at the players who are injured, it's the same players who were always absent in previous seasons, but at the time we didn't care because they were at best 3rd choices, now they are first choices and still injured.

For Di Maria, i remember seeing him injured quite often with Madrid, little muscular injuries.

Not this bad and not to the quality of players missing. In past years it might have actually been a relief that some were injured. This season the quality is injured and the perceived back ups aren't.

So LVG is deliberately trying to injure our quality players?

I am always defending lvg but for injuries i can not. something is wrong in training that is for sure. Lvg ( and wengere) are doing something wrong. Look at mourinho's teams. Always complete.
Hererra adm shaw falcao blind. Over the 100 mil spend for english patients.

How many other teams in the league have a policy of double training sessions like us? This combined with our the intensity of the league and the pressure upon players returning from injury, could represent a toxic mix.

Most frustrating for all concerned i am sure.

This bad? I read somewhere United have had more injuries in the first 4 months of this season than chelsea have had in 2 years.

Last season we had similar number of injuries up to about a month ago. Our injury record has always been awful. Not been as bad prior to last season but we still topped the injury league/second to Arsenal.

feck me was really looking forward to seeing Di Maria again. Could be another game without real chances. Please prove me wrong lads.

Carrington is cursed. Get rid of all those fitness, medical personnel. And put all the money to get that hot Eva Carneiro on board.

Falcao is playing and Blind was hurt on international duty.

Shaw was hurt during the Arsenal match.

Which none injury prone player has been surprisingly injured this season ?

    None.

No, he might be stubborn though and not acknowledge that something needs changing. It is sad when you look at who is out and most of them would walk, or hobble into the side.

This was going to be a tight match.. A lot depends on Mata and our crossess.. Expecting a tight match.. most prb a tight 1-0 or 2-1 win for us..

No pace. No dribbling. We are a boring side grinding out results with brilliant strikers.

I think Newcastle will be very compact and defend deep. Our only sources are going to young and Valencia. playing through centre is going to be difficult today.

Convinced it is related. I've also heard from more than one journo that we train at match day intensity in the training sessions before the game. All the other teams I know just recuperate. He has to look at himself but I don't think he will change. I hear he can be stubborn.

Honestly, I think LVG has shown so far he is anything but stubborn - willing to play Fellaini and also willing to scrap 3-5-2 when appropriate being just two examples.

Either way, this team should be good enough to beat Newcastle at home. I shudder to think how we would be coping with all these injuries if we were in Europe this season.

Incredibly difficult to be enthusiastic and optimistic about this game.

Carrick in midfield is just about the only positive.

    So this?

    ------------De Gea

    ------Jones----Mcnair-------Evans

    Valencia--------------------------Young

    -----------Rooney-----Carrick

    -----------------Mata

    ---------Falcao-----------Van Persie

Even with the injuries, should be good enough to beat Newcastle at home. Plenty of goals in that side, and big Dave keeping them out at the other end.

Does not matter about the names, without the ability to beat a man, it's going to be hard to really score goals when there is very little pace to stretch Newcastle. Rooney mata falcao van Persie is a snails pace

Painfully slow team against a poor nufc team, I think it's going to be another frustrating boring match.

Yes it was. The 2011/12 season was arguably worse.

Yeah, didn't we have the worst injuries in the league that year?

I'm looking forward to seeing Gouffran play today just to see how he looks (hopefully shit!), I watched him play a lot for Bordeaux and I haven't watched Newcastle enough since he joined to form an opinion on him there.

No way we would cope if we were in Europe as well.

0 pace in the team. We need an early goal because we could struggle if Newcastle sit back.

I'm not saying it's the cause but what's the point of double sessions? Our playing style still hasn't improved that much, though we are winning and what's with the injuries? Tired of it now.

Yep Gouffran's been brutal. Here's hoping he doesn't find some form today
