    Romero
    Varela Smalling Blind Borthwick-Jackson
    Carrick Herrera
    Lingard Mata Memphis
    Martial

Henderson; McNair, Rojo; Schneiderlin, Riley, Pereira; Rashford

I don't follow the youth team enough to know if Rashford is likely to get on the bench, but I assume Will Keane is going to miss this? We don't have another striker fit and even the last resorts aren't fit (Fellaini) or cup-tied (Januzaj).

As long as we can field the above 18, then the squad at least looks slightly more experienced with McNair, Rojo, Schneiderlin and Pereira on the bench. I'd expect Rojo to replace CBJ for the last 20, with Schneiderlin replacing Herrera or Mata and Pereira replacing Memphis or Lingard.

I do think we'll go through, but make hard work of it. Going to say we'll be 2-0 up in a cruising game, make a mistake and have to go for the third goal, which we'll get! 3-1 United and onto Arsenal (hopefully with a couple more players fit).

We're at home against a bunch of unknown's, a 1-0 will suffice, we are 100% going to draw 0-0.

Did anyone see the clip of Midtjylland celebrating in the changing rooms? For that reason alone I hope we smash the smug faces off them.
This. Celebrating a win against European giants is such a cnutish thing for a tiny club founded in 1999 with a name nobody outside of Scandinavia can even pronounce.

    That's the spirit!

Even at home, we can win with Rashford up front. A front four of depay in the middle mata on the right lingard on the left and rashford up front would be good to see. I think Memphis is better in the middle and Martial needs a rest. If we can't score without him just sub him on, but every game he looks more and more tired.

We can't rest martial in one of the biggest games of our season! I'd prefer to rest him against Arsenal although I wouldn't do that either

If it doesn't happen, start visualising Mourinho not having his hand shaken by Wenger at 14:05 on Sunday.

It's a sign of how far we have fallen that I am genuinely worried about not being able to beat a team like Midtjylland at home and consequently ending our only hope of qualifying to the champions league via winning the much revered Europa League.

Too many things in that sentence would've been unthinkable a couple of years back.

I reckon this will be the line-up:

    Romero
    Varela McNair Blind Rojo
    Herrera Schneiderlin
    Lingard - Mata - Memphis
    Martial

He said Rojo could only do abut 20 minutes, so he will be on the bench. He will not want to be making a sub after 20 minutes. I wouldn't want McNair in a vital game and Smalling isn't injured.

I apologise he is it appears. :)

Anyone else think this has got the same feeling as Olympiakos 2014?

I'd actually love to see the players step-up themselves and take the initiative beyond the manager like Giggs and RVP did that night, but I'm not sure this current group has that in them - we might go through tonight but I'd be surprised if it were as dominate as that night was.

But these lot are even worse than Olympiakos so chances are we will beat them easily anyway.

Who the feck are we going to play in defence? At least Rojo is back, but he won't start anyway.

Rojo will play 20 minutes max according to LVG, more likely to be Carrick and Blind at the back with Varela and Riley. The rest of the team picks itself unfortunately, hopefully we'll be as comfortable as against Shrewsbury so Perreira gets a good run out and Martial can get a bit of a rest.

United squad: Romero, Joel Pereira, Love, Varela, Poole, Rojo, Blind, McNair, Riley, Herrera, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Lingard, Mata, Andreas Pereira, Memphis, Martial, Rashford

Has to be: Varela - McNair - Blind - Riley
    As a back line?

I don't want us to go through tbh

Not like we can win it, with our bare bone squad it's better if we just concentrate on the League, and probably FA cup.

Going all out on 3 fronts will be suicide, finger crossed Martial is already burnt out at this rate

What is there to do for us in the league though? I would much rather rest players in the competition where we have no purpose.

Surely United wont actually be eliminated by these vikings? Surely not...?

Yeah you guys are right - play Riley and bring Rojo on for last 20 mins, and the hopefully Rojo will be ready to start against Le Arse.
