i think it’s straight to pens.
I don't think so. Unless we play a back 5 against Watford because Maguire will 100% play.Expect Bailly and Lindelof to start against Watford so makes sense that Bailly got his rest tonight if so.
this was the case in prior rounds
Bailly has been playing a LOT recently. Not resting him is inviting a injury.
We beat Manchester City 3 times in 2019/2020 with this setup. We're doing ourselves a disservice by pretending this isn't going to work because one CB isn't The Flash. We have evidence it does.
We could still lose, Manchester City isn't some pedestrian garbage team we should expect to always beat, but we sure as hell can very well win.
I heard Ole say in his prematch interview that he felt Maguire and Lindelof have played well together against City so he wanted to keep that partnership going here. I think its a fair decision that he will have to stand behind, whether it back fires or not.I appreciate your point Tom, but this is a chance to get to a final. The players have had pretty much 5 days to recover, and I don't expect Bailly, or many of this team, to play against Watford, they would then have another 5 full days before Burnley.
To me, bringing Lindelof back encourages AWB to stay tighter to the CB, thereby leaving space at the far post to be exploited, with Bailly there, AWB stays wider as he hasn't got to cover the CB, Bailly having the pace to recover, and also cover when AWB moves forward.
I think that one change disrupts the whole defensive set up.
Yes especially since Maguire soon will rest because of likely suspension.I don't think so. Unless we play a back 5 against Watford because Maguire will 100% play.
Is Dean good at saving penalties? In case it goes to a shoot outPleased Henderson plays - a big night for that lad.
Pretty sure they said there would be extra time last night.i think it’s straight to pens.
We should win this! If not Ole should be under pressure. Need to stop bottling title chances if we want to eventually win the league.
Bye.Lindelof in for Bailly...ok I'm done.
That's mental. We're joint top of the league. We should win this! If not Ole should be under pressure.

Bookies treat City like an all time great. They are almost always massive favourites.I still find it baffling that the odds are:
United 4.0
City 1.99
I appreciate they are marginal favourites, but not by that much.

What on Earth? We should win this! If not Ole should be under pressure. Need to stop bottling title chances if we want to eventually win the league.
one team will lose. Doesn’t mean you have bottled it if you lose.
this word should be banged from the Caf. But then I would t expect anything different from certain posters...
Walker on the bench! As far as I can see city are missing Ederson and walker. So what exactly was oh Holy pep moaning about

No Walker greatly decreases our chances of a penalty. Might actually have to try and score from open play.
Maybe missed a great chance is better to say?one team will lose. Doesn’t mean you have bottled it if you lose.

Draw...That's like a win win for the punter. Stick a ton on each one to win and you've spent two hundred quid.....City win you get £199 back and you're virtually even, United win and you double your money. Job's a goodun!
