I can understand the ref missing it. Mistakes happen when it's in real time. How can VAR not see it's a clear foul? What's even the point of VAR if they don't over rule calls like these.This random aplicacion of var just belies common sense and applies the rules blindly using technicality like a straitjacket. If you can't correct blatantly incorrect decisions because of what the ref 'thinks' happened what even is the point of it ? It's better not to have it than to have it and make a glaringly incorrect decision like freds booking.We're gonna regret not scoring more in that halfI’m enjoying this match so much. I swear it's been getting worse as the season goes on, the last few weeks have seen some woeful stuff from VAR.Very, very good first half. Cheatty created nothing and we should have had a pen.
Dean “I don’t need VAR” always has to be the centre of attention. He can’t help himself. I can get sometimes ref don't get clear visual from angle and misjudge the situation. But then that's the whole reason why VAR exists.

We are attacking. Hence the high pressure and constant chances we're creating. Possession =/= attacking. Theyve had the ball but have 0 attacking intent in that first half.
We need to be into Dean at HT to ensure that we put doubt in his mind so he gives Fred one or two free fouls in the second half

Technically the ref should have the players come back out to take the penalty. It would count as the last kick of the first half.

Ighalo time.We need to keep pressing and attacking them for at least until 60th minute. City is highly likely to crack. Fernandinho and Otamendi is Championship level at defending.
