Matic and Herrera in midfield is scary... for us. They haven´t done well together in any game, so i don´t expect them to do well against the best team in the league. I´d be happy with a draw, but expect City to get a comfortable win with tons of possession, and us failing to get the ball out of our own half apart from aimlessly hoofing the ball forward.Jose's in a no-win here. If we lose he'll get hammered for being attacking and not parking the bus. Fair feck to him. Kompany won't last the match and there'll be a few cards in this.

How cold is it?
at people moaning about being more attacking lineup...I have a feeling that Oliver will ruin the game early on.My only concern is Rojo and diving in too quickly at their attackers’ feet. Our defence needs to rise to the occasion and if so we have a real chance in this game. We have enough firepower.It is an interesting line up. I like that Mourinho have no specific "style". He always adapt his team to his opponents, which I think all managers should do.
Lindelöf was the most composed of all defenders against Arsenal. However Mourinho might think that Lindelöf isn't ready for a back four yet.
It would be very unlike him if he wasn't MotM.Glup.....With this team selection/formation it’s paramount we get the first goal. Your concern should be Oliver as the ref and City players diving, not Rojo diving in.He has gone like for like. They only have one holder and that is Fernandinhofecking nerves are kicking in now.Aguero's not starting eh?
I had us going with back 3 as well. Not so sure it's Jose not trusting him (Lindelof) as it is a tactical decision.Football is so amazing sometimes.
Very very few of us predicted such an approach; including Guardiola I suspect, hence probably why Mourinho has done so.

I think it's paramount you get the first two.
I cannot see United holding on to a 1-0 for say 70 minutes with City bringing on Aguero against tiring legs.This is either going to work incredibly or be an absolute disaster.

This is the team I wanted and you're right; I never thought we'd line-up like this. Feeling oddly optimistic here!Two centerbacks on the bench could mean we revert to 3 at the back as soon as the result favor us.I like this lineup

Personnel =/= Tactics to be fair.
It’s going to be a smash and grab from us l just hope we can be clinical.I think our pressing tactics could work well we have seen teams getting good results from it against City and Pep. Liverpool a good example. We got the 11 for that job I think. Herrera is normally better in a pressing game.
The key though is Matic he needs to boss the others and hold us together into a decent defensive shape so they don't pass around us.

True, lots of talk about midfield, but actually more worried about defence. Rojo just come back and didn't look great against Arsenal. Both him and Smalling need to be at their best in this one. Lingard will provide enough support to our midfield imo.
On the other hand, they also have a lot to think on the other end.This will not be good for my hangover....- Status
