6 defenders? That'd be the most bus parking lineup we've put out this season. Not to mention starting two players that haven't played together this season, two players in positions they haven't played this season with one only starting his first match in 8 months just last week. No thanks. I hope to see us play a back 3 of Lindelof - Smalling - Rojo with Valencia and Young on the flanks.

Might as well call it a 6-2-2 haha

And I personally don’t want to see Rojo starting unless we’re playing 5 at the back. If it’s 4 at the back, after his showing vs Arsenal I’d be hesitant to put him back out there and throw him up against City’s wolves.

What’s the weather looking like? Really worrying it’s going to be postponed.

No chance. There is some snow coming but as it stands there is not a single flake on the ground. I am on Trafford Rd, about 5 minutes walk to the ground and there is zero snow.

Manchester will get some snow but nowhere near as bad as south of here.

    Game on.

I'm about 30 miles north of London and it's Christmas card scenes outside. Travelling is going to be nightmare.

Really bad in the midlands. Following the motorway police on twitter and they are saying that you cannot see any markings on the motorway lanes

I can tell by the end of the day, us fans are either going to be very happy or very sad. I want us to win the game, so Mou needs to tell his big boys to fly into tackles and bring the crowd volume up. City is just not playing against 11 men, they are also playing against the 75,000 fans inside the ground. So, I think at first, they will try to play their slow passing game to have a grip of the game and not get the OT crowd riled up too much. We must defend and not give them a inch of the space they love to have by flying into tackles and getting into their faces. This will help bring the atmosphere up at OT and City players will start getting nervous and losing the ball and we can counter attack with our players. We do have to look out for two players especially De Bryune and Silva, because if we can cut off De Bryune by having Herrera mark on him, we immediately cut off the link for Sterling and Sane to attack from the wings and Aguero to make those runs and receive the ball between the Central defenders. De Bryune does a couple of things well, he likes to play those one twos(the goal he scored against Chelsea) and he plays those beautiful passes to the wingers and also, he is also a good passer and crosser with the ball. I don't see him as much as a runner with the ball, or a dribbler. Silva is another one I see who makes those silky runs through the left channels in the penalty box where he is very dangerous, and he has good composure with the ball and is also a good dribbler so we need to watch out for that. He is everything I wish Mata was for us. If our defenders don't make any mistakes like Blind did in the last game against them at OT and even if the score is 0-0 at half time, we have a great opportunity of having really good chances later on in the game where we can score and I can imagine the City players will be much tired and feeling the effects of playing at OT(Similar to last season's game at OT against them).

Also, it is essential that our defenders don't start ball watching if De Bryune and Silva receive the ball, this is the same mistake all PL defenders do when they play against City this season. So I want us to be constantly aware of the runs Sterling and Sane will try to make behind our defenders.

Plenty of snow falling now here in London, so surprised to hear that Manchester isn't that bad.

I dreamed United won 2-0. First Fellaini headed it in after a corner, then a deflected cross from, maybe, Valencia made it 2.
    Let's see whether I'm psychic.

You're not psychic. Your subconsciousness is not even very imaginative. This is literally how Utd won every single game in the last 24 months.

I'm too nervous about this game. I put 50eu on us not to win to soften the blow. I really hope I lose.

The game must be in some doubt. Especially with it being at 4.30, awful conditions for fans to get home etc, will be icy etc.

Can see this going the way Chelsea went a few years ago.

I'm a couple of miles outside Manchester (to the north) and there's feck all snow falling. There's a little on the ground from yesterday evening still but the forecast isn't even calling for any more snow today.

Should hear for sure by about midday shouldn't we? Those in the most danger would have set off by then.

    Pretty sure it’ll be on.

I’m quietly confident of a positive result seeing how many people are desperate for it to be called off in here. It’s the little things isn’t it. I’d take a draw if it were offered now though. My nerves during the game will be shot.

Not much snow overnight and nothing heavy forecast now. The match should be fine. It might affect the attendance though. I'm not far from the ring road, but the small, local roads are looking bad, a couple of inches of snow and some hard ice below (lots of hills round Manchester for people who don't know the area!)

If the game is postponed, does it mean Pogba will serve a 3-match ban starting at West Brom? Surely they will have to reschedule the derby after december... hindsight?

It's non stop snow down here at the moment. I'm bit worried the trains will start getting cancelled.

Contemplating risking driving there now. The motorways look horrendous. Snowfall isn’t the problem, it’s the fecking ice :(

We’re traveling by train from Crewe and the snow is bad here, and one train has been canceled already!

Really bad snow here in Shropshire, couldn't get our car out the drive morning. Then got the dreaded text message - our supporters club coach has been cancelled.

Absolutely gutted we're going to miss the game, but it's completely out of our hands.

Sorry to hear about that. It sucks. A bit surprised with all the heads up on this that folks didn’t plan to go earlier.

Stayed overnight in crewe. Car a bit snowed up. Bit on floor. Not currently snowing. Right next to motor way thankfully so hopefully theyve been doing a good early doors motorway salting

They probably were already going super early today...you wouldnt have a supporter coach going the day before as the expense would ramp up

M6 & M62 are awful apparently, good luck. Looks like I’m not making it. I could always sell on my tickets and get a three year ban though I guess

the weather is snowing a bit in Manchester but else where it is dreadful , stiill have nagging doubt the game might be off.
If you are on the roads, take care.

It's not necessarily the snow that's the issue. It's the ice around the ground and after the game. The club has to consider the fans safety.

When Chelsea called the game off it wasn't due to the amount of snow, it was the ice.

Not good..i have about 20 odd miles to get and will leave at 10 from the hotel...hopefully ok. Hope they dont wait for me to get there then call it off and have to haul 170miles home!
Bad luck on missing it mate. Real sods law but one of those things noone considers when buying season tickets

Me too. In fact, where has all this talk of postponement come from? Can anyone recall when an Old Trafford match was last postponed due to weather? I think we're going back donkey's years!

On the match itself, Mourinho has to find the right balance between offering a genuine attacking threat and nullifying City's outstanding forward players, which is considerably more difficult without Pogba. I think both he, and the team, will relish the opportunity to halt City's run of wins though.

It’s the getting home I would be worried about mate. You can’t see the road markings on the motorways apparently. Hope you’ve booked tomorrow off work incase? Be careful out there.
