    For all the talk about our player quality, there really isn't a lot between those 2 teams on paper.

    Onana > Kelleher
    Dalot > Bradley
    Maguire < Van Dijk
    Kambwala <= Quansah (but both young guys)
    AWB < Robertson
    Casemiro >= Endo
    Mainoo >= Szoboszlai
    Bruno >= Mac Allister
    Rashford < Salah
    Garnacho > Diaz
    Hojlund <= Darwin

    Main difference is their midfield has way more legs than ours, but not better in individual quality. It's just the coaching.

    Liverpool missing their starting keeper, playing Bradley right back and some guy called quansah centreback. Hopefully that evens it out for the injury excuse folk

    I remember that fleeting moment recently when our bench finally looked quite strong... :(

    That said, nice for Amass to feature in a matchday squad. It's too early for him really, but definitely one for the future and good reward for the talent and performances he's been putting in with the U18's.

    I can somehow make my peace with Gerrard and Salah. VVD is a stretch and Alisson over Schmeichel is an even bigger stretch. But Robertson??
    The most overrated player from the most overrated team of the last 10 years. Honestly to even mention him with Irwin and Evra is an insult. He had 4 very good seasons between 18/9 and 21/22 and that's it. The guy benefited massively from Klopp's tactics of crowding the middle of the pitch with workhorses and leaving the fullbacks to overlap as much as possible. He is not a great defender and rather poor infront of goal. He has a very good passing and crossing ability and he is tenacious. It ends there. Even if I'm trying to make a case for him it's not possible.

    Even Luke Shaw is a much better footballer and a better defender. It's just that he is constantly injured and playing for a team that hasn't utilized a specific tactic for over 10 years so his stats are rather poor.
    This.

    Stopping this lot from another EPL title should be incentive enough for our team. Let's see if they deliver and at least be able to hold thier heads high after the final whistle.

    I really hope he has a good game but bringing Rashford back in after recent performance / effort levels really isn't doing Ten Hago any favours. Even if Rashford scores a hat trick it's still the wrong move.

    As United are fielding a 7th choice CB in Kambwala, it certainly doesn’t even it out.

    You know it is a bad omen when even our indestructible hardman Scott McT is out injured

    It does increase the chance of good football though

    Garnacho > Diaz

    This one I disagree on. Perhaps the individual importance paints the picture.
    Rashford starting. Not sure whether to start him or sub him on is worse at this point. The fact that he did not start the last game is probably the reason why he starts now.

    Feel sorry for Anthony there. Rashford coming in after that half asked cameo?

    One decent performance in 30 games, registering his first assist of the season and you feel sorry him?

    I, myself, thought Antony would play today, but I don't feel sorry for him. He's been nowhere near good enough. Neither has Rashford, by the way, but he has 7 goals and 2 assists in the EPL and we know that he typically scores in the bigger games.

    You have to hand it to Klopp , if you look at a Liverpool team player by player this season on paper , it does not look a great team that should frighten you.

    But under Klopp they work harder than anyone else and they play in sync as a complete unit with each player knowing exactly what his role is and how to play it , the end result is a very formidable outfit.

    Pretty Rose coloured lens there pal.

    What? You have massively overrated our midfield and attackers.

    I didn't say you're not a fan at all but not watching us play Liverpool by choice rather than circumstance and announcing it on a United forum is odd behaviour

    More nonsense.

    It's a forum for opinion so it's actually expected behaviour.

    I'd have gone Mount for Rashford and made us a bit more difficult to pass through. Hope it is the Rashford who raises his game for the scousers.

    Great way of looking at this!

    Well it's about the here and now, isn't it? Antony worked his ass off the other night, covered really well defensively, caused turn overs and provided a brilliant assist. Rashford....well, what did Rashford do when he came on? The messaging to the squad is massively important at this stage of Erik's tenure. The message should be 'Work your arse off'.

    But also our 3th choice centre back. So that averages out at (3+7)/2 = 5th choice duo
    Well our team is clearly not decimated by injuries for this match what ever equations we funnily use

    Game over I think, although I trust Mainoo I think Casemiro legs are starting to go.

    With Kambwala inexperience might cost us, we have two teenagers in a massive game, with the experience being a player who has barely played and starts to looked out of energy by the 70th.

    We had little chance going into the game, I'd be genuinely happy with a point today.
