    What did he say?

It was interesting as the producer kept a wide view of the pitch so we could follow what Neville was saying.

He was saying that our two defensive midfielders mark man to man, so when the opposition drop our two DM move up the pitch.

Liverpool had a thrown in, and Mainoo went with McAlister, who droopped back a bit, and Neville points out that Mainoo is now further up the pitch than the ball and should remain defensive and let McAlister go.

Then a few moments later Casimero comes charging up the pitch to press, his man, deep by Liverpool's box, Mainoo is already there as McAlister is there and immediately there is a thirty yard space between our front 6 and our back 4 -- which of course Liverpool run into and play through.

So if the two players that our DMs are marking stay deep basically our defenders go up the pitch in front of the ball, putting themselves completely out of the game, rather than staying back and defending.

Clearly it is what they are told to do by ETH but as Gary said, " Get behind the ball" is what you've learnt by 12 years old - but it's not how we play.

It was instructive as I could clearly see it happening as he was talking and it explains why we constantly have been overrun this season.

    Ultimate conclusion.; ridiculous tactics.

There’s a certain irony in this season that the season where 5th place may qualify for CL, United won’t be anywhere near with this coach. The irony is he’s drawn 2 out of the last 3 and had he drawn the following games where they lost by the odd goal palace(H), Fulham(H), Chelsea(A), Newcastle(A), Forrest(A) he would currently be sitting on 54 points with P31 W15 D9 L7.

Apart from Newcastle who battered us 1-0 we should have least taking a point in all the other games, that means this coach doesn’t understand what is required as a man united manager, if you can’t win then don’t lose especially with such Kamikaze tactics.

Right now United still have 7 tough games left in the PL and I can see this moron continuing with this style of barmey football where we might win 3 draw 1 Lose 3 that’s 10 points and 59 points and probably 8th or 9th which might mean Conference league football, put it this way if he doesn’t win his first game in four against Bournemouth, we can forget Europa League, ETH can forget maybe managing against Coventry in another domestic semi final too!

Isn’t the whole point that the defence is then supposed to move up negating that space and we are then able to press and win the ball back for speedy transitions.

At times it is ridiculous the space we allow and none of Mainoo, Casemiro or Bruno have the athleticism to cover it when it breaks down which is also an issue we have. Happens too often, us turning over the ball and then these guys being out of position.

It’s all just a mess. Tactically and the players not being up to the task.

Every other one of our players get rushed back and straight into the starting 11. But ETH’s top target from the summer doesn’t? That’s bizarre.

Well yeah but in other positions it was Martinez or Shaw coming back who don't have a 'better' player fit. Mount coming back is fighting Bruno or Mainoo, Rashford or Garnacho for playing time. Whether you think he should play ahead of them or not there is less pressing need to throw him in.

Because he's a stupid person. I've posted this before.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka admitted earlier this year to driving while disqualified and without insurance.

That is the act of a stupid, low intelligence, irresponsible person: a trait that every so often shows up on the pitch, as it did today.
My god that’s a very serious offence driving whilst disqualified.
How the feck has he got away with still been at this club?
Off field discipline transfers to on field discipline and vice versa, we need to have a bloody good clear out of these sort of players, no respect for the law or for for the public and little respect for the fans and the club.
