It's unbelievable that if we beat Liverpool next week we go ahead of them in the league. . . Totally different performance level of course but they'll be more disappointed with their start than us. Football is a funny game though - if Ten Hag finds a way to win this one, it will go a loooooooong way towards exorcising a few of our demons.

Their defence always gives you a chance especially if you have pace. We need to play more direct and abandon playing short because we’ll get mauled. Direct passing behind their defence is the way to go.

Hope the team turn up and show some fight knowing we can go above them but I just don't trust any of them to show anything of the sort.Would be really tempted to try 442. Their defence is suspect at moment.

Ha. That's honestly how I'd roll. I assume Martial is still out. I don't want Ronaldo in the team. Dalot has been dreadful and we won't control possession so I think AWB is the less bad option here. Maguire is too cumbersome for their dynamism and I'd have both Lindelof and Martinez carry the ball out to connect with the midfield, with Varane in the middle. Iqbal and Garnacho I'd use because we've seen this team have numerous opportunities to turn a corner and they are rock bottom in spirit and hunger. And Bruno needs to be dropped for a bit.Would be quite funny to win this and go ahead of them despite the horror start we have had.
Normally after such a humiliating defeat such as the one we suffered on Saturday you would expect a reaction form a team , but unfortunately with this team you just expect more of the same.
