    This surprises me.

    Liverpool and Vardy are obvious.

 Our counter attacks are not so bad after all.

They probably nearly all came across Swansea and Arsenal away though. I can't think of many other than those off the top of my head.

No not bullshit, you misinterpreted what I meant. I’m sure all will be happy to win but then proceed to pick apart Mourinhos performance, tactics and team selection
Yes.... its called discussion, analysis and opinion. That's why most of us joined this forum.

Who the heck is this Trent and Robertson.
Both have been superb for us so far this season. Robertson didn't get a look in earlier in the season due to Moreno being less of a feck up than in previous years so Klopp persisted. Injury to Moreno meant that Robertson got his chance and he has really taken it. His one man press of the Man City back line at Anfield threw him into the spotlight for non-Liverpool fans and he's improving with each match.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is another that keeps improving game on game as well. He get's forward well but is defensively strong as well. He's only 18 I think and will no doubt be an England regular in the future.

We cannot handle their pressing game if we decide to put it on the ground and pass it around. Klopp always has them up for our games so you know the effort and work rate will be there from the start. They will want to score within the first 20 mins. Jose will play a big line up and play a direct game to deny their pressing game. The key will be, if we manage to slow them down. is can we score on them unlike the first game at anfield.

I assume Robertson is a young player as well, and both probably from Liv's academy. Damn, they're taking their chance well, and theoretically, with Pool having three monsters upfront with buzzing wingers, leaving all those sweet tasty spaces at the two wings to be exploited, having a good full backs will make them a lot better. Promising, but hopefully they have their off days against us. :D

We have been good at home but I thought we were awful in the City game.
Yeah it wasn’t pretty but Mou set us up properly for that game. Had it not been for a couple defensive lapses we would have got the result. Anyway, hope for a better outcome on Sat.

Trent is 19 and a Scouser from the Academy. I think he made his full debut at Old Trafford last season but I could be wrong.
We bought Robertson who's 23 for £10m from Hull City. I was pretty underwhelmed when we signed him but Klopp has made me eat my words on it and signing him looks like a shrewd piece of business.
Robertson didn't give Sterling a look in during the City match at Anfield either.

    Absolutely, I am nervous already!

Big part of that was because we had no real counter attacking threat. Mane was injured and Salah was at Roma. Lallana-Origi-Firmino was the front 3.

Will be a different cup of tea this time. Suspect we'll invite you onto us and then look to hit fast on the break. Mane-Firmino-Salah with Chamberlain at the tip of midfield is a sure bet.
Well yeah, but he still parked the bus as we say.

Our recent record vs Liverpool (since '14):

    Played 7; Won 4; drawn 3; Scored 10; Conceded 3.

My memory of the game last season was we got out of jail and where very fortunate to draw, hope we're a lot better this year

Think again: "Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was Liverpool's hero with superb first-half saves from Ibrahimovic's free-kick and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, as Jurgen Klopp's side put up stern resistance and threatened on the break."

We were much better than them at Old Trafford last season. Pogba's having a mare hurt us though. He missed a sitter and caused a penalty, but we pretty much dominated most of the game.

Guys, quick question for the ones who are going to the game with car. Usually I leave the car in Alexander House Car Park, which is 5 min away from the stadium. However, this time I can't seem to find it on Internet. Does anyone know where I can book one spot for that parking?

Otherwise, has anyone ever parked in Warwick Road car park? (the one you enter via Talbot Road)? Is it difficult to find the building/place to park? I am saying this because I am afraid Manchester will be extremely packed this weekend.

    Many thanks guys!
    Cheers!

By the way, I'm going for 2-1 win :P, Lukaku to score a brace.

My gut feeling is that this game will be perfectly set up for Liverpool to win.
Given the fact that there will be massive pressure on the team to attack and take the game to Liverpool could mean we get picked off on the counter a few times given how bad imo our wing backs have been lately in particular.

However if we show the same fighting spirit we have shown in the past few games especially in midfield against Chelsea we can get the juices flowing and rattle them early, with especially Lukaku showing his recent hunger and desire, we will get a result

We dominated Liverpool last season at OT, only for Pogba to have a mare and give away a penalty due to losing his head. Even then, we put Liverpool on the back foot for most of the game and equalized.

Both teams are better than last season, so I expect another draw.

Klopp and Mourinho have drawn against each other every time they've played in the PL. It feels like both are happy with playing conservatively.

We were so dominating than Mourinho had to take Carrick out at half-time and switch to 4-2-3-1.

I really dont remember us dominating the game at all but fair enough my memory isn't what it once was (not that our games are particularly memorable these days either)

Is this the Liverpool expected lineup?
    Karius
    Alex-Arnold Matip van Dijk Robertson
    Ox-Chamber Henderson Can
    Salah Firmino Mané

    Think Lovren will play.

More I think about it, 352 seems the best option for us. 3 CB’s to deal with their front three and a 1v1 on the flanks with their fullbacks and ours. 3 in midfield with their three, and Lukaku and Sanchez up front.

We were a goal down and had to chase the game. Do you think a switch from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 suggests that we needed more control or more of a goal threat?

Look at all the match reports of that day, we were the team on the front foot. It was a smash and grab by Liverpool who defended for most of the game.

They've only won 1 out of the last 9 against us and haven't beaten us in the league in 4 years. We're strong at home, and I don't see that stat changing even if they've had a form resurgence of late.

    Low score draw.

If Mourinho didn't opt for it at Sevilla away, who are a bit similar to Liverpool, he won't do it here. Besides, it's 3 at the back or a midfield 3.

They could have possibly a centerback, two midfielders and two attackers who started both yesterday and the game before. It could make a slight difference in the second half. Mourinho likes to wait for the last part of the game to push it.

    -------------De Gea----------------
    -----Bailly-Smalling-Lindelof------
    Valencia McTominay Matic Young
    --------------Pogba---------------
    --------Lukaku-Sanchez-----------

    352. With Pogba more on the left and McTominay on the right of Matic. Sanchez dropping into number 10 positions.
