Incredibly anal about player positions in lineups

My guess is Mourinho's going for a similar formation and style of game he tried (and failed) City at home, a 4-2-3-1 (that could easily turn into a 4-3-3) with two wide-forwards for the long balls. Would be nice if Carrick, master of long ball passes, had it in him to face this kind of opposition, but I very much doubt it.
