Someone else said that, but comes across way to defensive, but hearing some of the match build up talk, but Leicester are going to try dominate the ball rather than play counter attack, I can see the need to bolster midfield.

PS: Everytime I see your name I picture you as the Raymond Tusk from House of Cards. :)

This is Jose we're talking about, he'd find a way to make us look defensive in a 0-0-10 formation.

 I've been referred to as worse.

mmh. Actually never thought of this. Jose did try it out during pre-season.
But I think being at home it may be a bit too defensive for most.
    Should be more attacking.

It was more of a 352 or 31411, if we want to be technical, rather than a 343/3421.

As for being more attacking, we actually showed more of an attacking threat in a 352 than we did in a 433.

    Manchester United squad vs Leicester:

    De Gea, Grant, Kovar

Bailly, Smalling, Lindleof, Jones, Young, Shaw

McTominay, Pogba, Mata, Fred, Pereira, Fellaini

    Rashford, Lukaku, Sanchez, Martial

Strong squad tbf. Can see one of the late returnees starting, but not all of them. Still think it'll be Lukaku, but I wouldn't put it past Paul Pogba to convince the manager to play him from the beginning.

    -------------------DDG-----------------

    - Young - Lindelof - Smalling - Shaw -

    ----- Pereira - McTominay - Fred -----

    ------Mata - Rashford - Sanchez------

Not the best, but Leicester are missing a few too. Hoping for an end to end game due to the personnel and due to wishful thinking owing to the fact that I'm going tonight :p.

So good to finally have the football back, come on United!!

I think Pogba will come on as a sub to get some minutes. Maybe to replace McTominay. I was thinking we'd go 3 at back too but if Darmian is out, starting Young is risky. I think Jose will opt for the extra midfielder. Made my last change.

    DDG
    Lindelof - Bailly - Smalling - Shaw
    Perreira
    McTominay - Fred
    Mata - Rashford - Sanchez

    Subs: Pogba, Lukaku, Martial

My team is roughly the same, although I've replaced Mata for Lukaku and I've got Rashford playing out wide.

Jose mentioned Herrera injured in Bayern game. I would not be surprised if we went 3-5-2

    DDG
    Bailey, Smalling, Lindelof
    Darmian, Pereira, Fred, Mata, Shaw
    Rashford, Sanchez

McTominay, Lukaku, Pogba, Lingard, Martial, Jones, Grant on the bench

Gonna be Lindelof as RB then. Young isn't going to start this with 3-4 days of training.

I'm weirdly excited by this. I thought I didn't have it in me anymore

    Me too. Can't fecking wait.

I know it will soon disappear when I see two defensive blocks of 4 and 5 players each between minutes 12 and 83.

Was looking at the pictures and it looked like young James Garner was there.

I have a feeling that we're gonna surprise people this year.

Jose thrive on these circumstances. Being written off and so on.

    Let's begin by smashing Leicester.

Feck yeah, let's smash 'em Jose style baby, 1-0 Bailly header

Devastated that i cant watch the game live, need to rewatch it after coming home or in the morning. Hope for a win, we will have a better idea once we have a look at the lineup.

It’s time to suspend the civil war, at least for a few weeks to see how things go!

    I actually think we'll win. It won't be pretty, but I have a feeling we'll snatch a 1-0 win.

I am hoping we will thrash them 4-0 and wipe off the smug looks on the journalists' faces for underestimating United. Come on lads!!!

On my way to Old Trafford, we are feeling positive vibes. Don’t let the media get you down, the boys will be well up for this! We will win tonight.

Well up for this one now. Can see Pogba playing from the start. Would love to put a really convincing display on.

    Squad Numbers 2018/19

The squad numbers for the new season are out! You can view the full list here.

    Changes in existing squad numbers
    • Marcos Rojo changes from 5 to 16 now that Carrick has retired. He wore 16 for Argentina.
    • Rashford changes from 19 to 10 after the departures of Rooney and Zlatan.
    • Romero changes from 20 to 22.
    Numbers for new players
    13. Lee Grant
    17. Fred
    20. Diogo Dalot

    Numbers for youth players
    44. Tahith Chong
    45. Kieran O'Hara
    46. Joshua Bohui
    47. Angel Gomes
    48. Ethan Hamilton
    51. Matej Kovar

    Darmian to feature?
Matteo Darmian might actually be in the squad. He’s been staying at The Lowry recently, probably because he expected to be leaving England permanently before the end of the month. Luke Shaw checked into United’s pre-match base last night, so Darmian is still possibly available for tonight’s game.
