Don't be so heavy, man. You're bringing me down......

I think the negativity which surrounded the transfer window is lingering. Those wounds are still raw.
Edward Woodward really let the footballing fans down, though he did a fantastic job for the business men.

Let's see what Jose and our players can do now.

My cousin's 7yr old son laughed in my face when I asked him about the dab recently. Apparently there's now a 2018 version and nobody does the 2015 version anymore

Isn't Lingard a professor in the school of dab?

With the weather calming down a bit, there should be less of a toll on the players. I'd say it's perfect conditions?

    Opportunity for Andreas

Tonight is a huge opportunity for Andreas Pereira with Matic and Herrera injured and Pogba and Fellaini at the World Cup during pre-season.

Last season, his chances in the team weren't looking great and so he decided to go to Valencia on loan. This summer he has taken his chances, been arguably our best player in pre-season and capped it off with this wonderful free kick against Liverpool:

With a few questions over who will be starting tonight, one thing not in question is that Pereira will be. He has reinvented himself in the number six role and could get a number of opportunities this season as both Matic's deputy and in a position further forward.
Just get a good encouraging win so I can enjoy the rest of the games over the weekend.

    That'll do me fine.
I'd love it though if we came out of the blocks full of attacking intent. Players running through brick walls, hell bent on scoring as many goals as possible.
Sadly, I don't see it going down that way.

I'm as despondent as the next man. Gutted, in fact, but now that game day is here I'm really excited about the game. I don't know if it's the general thrill of the fact that football in general is back, or that I'm being optimistic and hoping that Pereira, Fred, Dalot and renewed Sanchez will make the difference between this and last season.

I went with Lukaku and Pogba not in the starting XI. It's a long season and we've got the bodies to the job today. If we're in a panic we can bring them in the 60th and if we're strolling we can bring them on in the 80th minute.

    Feeling good about this one.

Oooo a black update box. La De Da.

If Pogba and Lukaku are in any way looking sharp I'd put them straight in. Leciester came firing out of the blocks at Arsenal last season - With all the negative coverage of the club I could see them really going for it. We need to be at our best because this is a huge game in terms of getting some positive momentum.

I really hope we can get a comfortable win tonight to lift some of the gloom in recent weeks. 2-0 or 3-0 would be fantastic.

P.s I cant believe I'm this concerned about the first game of the season.

It’s a blessing that we start at home. I can’t see anything other than a United win.

Pogba and Lukaku to start. Sanchez first goal and a 2-0 win.

We've had them for years. Just didn't use them the past season or two. Will try to use them more this season but there won't be many updates during the game due to lack of options to watch the matches in full uninterrupted.
    I can't recall them.

Yeah that's fair enough. You can get the gist of the game from other posts anyway. It's a cool addition for the build up though.

I agree with Pogba and Lukaku starting on the bench and getting a run in the last 15 minutes. You dont want to risk an injury rushing them back to quickly.

If Leicester have got any sense about them then they will come flying at us, but with Puel not being an overly attacking manager, hopefully they will be a little conservative which would actually suit us. 2-0 United. Pogba and Sanchez.

Despite all the shenanigans and circus surrounding pre season and transfer window, always get really excited at the start of new season. Hoping for Pereira to put on a good show as he def has the talent, maybe the penny has dropped ala Lingard. And lets not forget having Sanchez in the ranks after good pre season a few minths to bed in is like new signing.

    New season, new Alexis?

I think it is fair to say when Alexis Sanchez signed for United, there was a lot of excitement. However, that didn't quite translate into performances on the pitch.

Hopefully the first summer of rest in many years for him has done him good. He has been our top scorer over pre-season scoring two goals from our five in total.

    Goal against AC Milan

    Goal against Real Madrid

With all the talk in pre-season being over Martial's baby situation, Alexis seemingly has had an addition to his own family too.

This is a big season for Alexis on a personal level and with his determination fingers crossed he'll be a very important player for us this season.
Fecks sake, it’s at 12.30am in my time zone. I thought it was a Saturday kickoff

    Manchester United squad vs Leicester:

    De Gea, Grant, Kovar

Bailly, Smalling, Lindleof, Jones, Young, Shaw

McTominay, Pogba, Mata, Fred, Pereira, Fellaini

    Rashford, Lukaku, Sanchez, Martial
Thank you! That is mighty strange. Is Lingard left out of the squad, but Pogba is included?

Can't believe I'm missing this for a date
Can't believe you set a date during a United game. Fair to say we all know who'll wear the pants in that relationship.

Two argentinian sisters want a threesome with me now that their mom is at their gran's. Told them to wait until next time she's out of their house and there's not a United game...

Once had a date when a United game was due to be on, made sure we had a few drinks at a pub before a late dinner, just so happened that the pub had a TV ...with sky sports...solution to every problem...

My first date with my now wife and mother of my child was at a pub to watch West Ham vs United in a league cup match. We lost 4 love but we were there 5 hrs even after the match ended :D
