    Last 25mins was better Bruno has to score at least 1 of his chances... keep this up we score .. Garnacho on
     
    De Ligt for Maguire at 60 mins
    Zirkzee for Mount at 60 mins
    Garnacho for Rashford at 60 mins
    McTominay for Casemiro/Mainoo at 75 mins if needed
     
    It's all very flat.

    No pace to our play its all very slow

    Casemiro and Mainoo have stood out, Mount has worked very hard off the ball but need more from Amad and in particular Rashford who looks like he is sulking
     
    Mount And Rashford started badly and haven't been in the game at all.

    Casemiro started badly and has grown really well in the game.

    Has all the makings of a draw or a loss for United.

    First game of the season and it shows. But for once can we please just win comfortably? Tired of going into half time knowing we have a mistake in us and 2-3 players just being invisible which may cost us as usual.

    Also fecking Onana, brought in to play on the ground and is kicking out again.

    Hopefully score early in the second half and score a couple more without Fulham responding.
     
    Last season we usually played alright for 20 minutes before the slow disintegration came. At least now we've grown into the game instead. Really should be two up but can't let heads drop.
     
    De Ligt on for Maguire after the booking and Zirkzee on for Mount, same reason and also t change the formation up a bit.
     
    Not the best first half but there were some good moments and Bruno should have scored, having Bruno as a false 9 instead of in tbe middle really limits our ability to create chances.

    We only allowed Fulham 3 shots in that half with one on target so we've at least improved that aspect of our game.
     
    it’s annoying, take one of those chances and Fulham have to come out a bit more to play.

    60.7% Possession. 6 shots to 3. 2 clear chances to 0. 90.4% pass completion.

    Isn’t that control? Top teams will have to deal with the occasional fast break. Fulham only really had one dangerous counter attack.

    If Bruno had a put away one of his chances that’s a really solid first half.
     
    Not great, not terrible. Only three poor shots conceded and no one injured yet, also created a bit on the side, so some positives. Lightweight and poor passing, terrible finishing. Clearly lacking fitness. Two very stupid yellows.

    Subs need to happen.

    Pep played us for fools didn't he with his effusive praise of Onana, who was supposed to transform our play with his brilliant footwork. Oh well, here we are.
     
    Very promising first half after a ropey 10-15 mins. Aggressive, organised pressing, more compact midfield shape, made some good chances.

    Shame we can't finish for shit, of course.

    Or two assists if Bruno was a bit more accurate. Our best player in the first half. Agree though he's been wasteful
     
    Where was this casemiro last season?

    He's looked very good in his midfield play. Should probs have a goal and 2 assists as well.

    I can remember 3 chances. The Casemiro shot when he had a clear opening outside of the box and couldn't hit the target, the two chances Bruno fluffed. And plenty of inaction by the collective around their box. That Dalot cannot cross with his left slows down play, Rashford has been invisible, Amad seems to have some jitters.

    Of course I was hoping for a proper win for a change to keep building the optimism and belief, but it's been more of a slog. Hope we can get the win and keep a clean sheet.
     
    Composure in front of goal letting us down again , ETH made a point of mentioning this during the week and how much they are working on it but it is still a big drawback.

    Bruno is probably the player you would want those chances to fall to but no matter who it is we just seem to butcher so many of those chances.
     
    I think we looked pretty good, especially for a first match, and one player (Maz) who probably doesn't even know his teammates' names yet.

    Onana made a good save, caught a high ball, and booted a long pass straight into touch. I'll take that. I'll take the shot-stopping over the fancy footwork.

    We should go 451 after the break. DeLigt in for Maguire. Zirkzee in for Rashford. Take Casemiro off, play Mount deeper, Garnacho on the wing.

    He's not been awful per last season standards, but he hasn't really done anything good. Lost the ball a bunch of times and ran himself into a couple of dead ends. What did he do well exactly? I guess the effort has been there, which is nice but by that metric Antony is a decent player.
     
    Pretty good first half. Started off a bit nervous but grew into the game and started to dominate. Can see some of our players are rusty which is okay.

    I think those asking to see more of a style and patterns of play should be able to see the seeds there. Some very nice play that hopefully improves as the players get fitter.

    The pressing was a bit off in the beginning but then we got into the groove. You can see how getting in a pressing monster like Ugarte who also has quick feet in the midfield instead of Casemiro will help the team. Same with De Ligt who is more aggresive and ambitious with the ball than Maguire.

    I'm interested in seeing Zirkzee as he is also supposed to be a good presser.

    So far a much better performance than we did against Fulham last year. Also the counter press has stopped a lot of their counter attacks although a few got through early doors. But thats to be expected if we don't get the press correct. A good half.
