He's probably been on the ball the most and it's not like he has any idea what to do with it. Our really slow pace hasn't helped either but putting Carrick on should at least solve some of the issues.

I thought some of Lingard's movement today has been necessary as we've tried to pry open the opposition's defensive bloc. His final product has been poor though. Can't think of who to replace him with though. Young? Martial?so far so shitThe odd game apart, I just feel no excitement or joy watching United play at all anymore. The swagger is gone, the confidence is gone and it's full of average players. You look at City and Arsenal opening teams up in the CL and we only ever come close to scoring via headers against some random teams you've barely heard of.

It wasnt a bad half just not making good decisions upfront. I feel like Mata has been our best player so far.Some of Pogba's passing is sublime. Would like to see him linking up with Carrick for the second half.Carrick is absolutely essential right now.

I don't hate him - I actually appreciate the job he does when used properly.
But I do hate us using him as if he's some sort of Tony Kroos who needs the be the first receiver of every ball from the back. I'd wager he saw more ball than any other United player in that half and he's one of our weakest passers/creators.
