So true, there were so many times this season he subbed Martial when rashford was playing crap. If sancho deal gets done, you can bet it wouldn't be greenwood missing out, or martial and greenwood moving up top.

Shame Laird hasn’t been given chances this season. This game is made for him. Full backs on both sides are creating issues for our attacking play. Hopefully they’ll improve second half.

My feelings too. Absolutely hate it. Midfield far too apart, Pogba finds himself in midfield and we can't build from the back because of this.This tactic simply doesn't work as shown several times in our last games in the PL. We can't control nor build from the back playing like this.

bruno needs to drop deeper to help the build up - it’s clearly tactical to stay up high but it just doesn’t suit the way European football is played especially in this heat.

once we started knocking it around and retaining the ball we are much better. Need to get greenwood on the ball, such a danger.

It is the long balls that have caught out the Danes because they were among the few times when we played the early ball.

They're not paying close enough attention at what he's actually done. If someone were to drop a 1st half compilation and watched it, I think they would take everything back. He's advanced the play remarkably well.

Bruno has had the right ideas, but hasn't had the execution so I don't really blame him much. Fred started off a little eratic, but he's picked it up too.

That’s my biggest fear regarding our rebuild. He does not look the same since being overplayed and injured. Does Ole have the guts to bench him if he continues to put in these types of performances? Granted we don’t have a great alternative at the moment barring shifting Martial wise and playing Ighalo but if we brought in Sancho and Grealish, Rashy has to take a seat.

I think best players have been Pogba and Fred and that's not staying much. Greenwood had that shot but otherwise not much, Bruno, martial and Rashford poor. Defense average.

I just think he came back from injury a little too early. He's not really got going for us offensively, done ok creating some goals but he's gone a little missing in front of goal.

As for today, I think we're doing the sensible thing and playing the long game by not blitzing the game and wasting energy when we still have a possible 2 games in the next 7/8 days.

Varela has a few more seasons play under his belt. You can’t expect Laird to come in and cope defensively and attack against an experienced side
