    ------------De Gea--------------
    AWB - Varane - Lindelof - Telles
    ------------MCT ---- VDB---------
    -------------------Bruno-------------
    Cavani ----- Ronaldo ---- Sancho

Is what i'd like to see. I want VDB to be given minutes because I like his style of play and I'd rather he didn't leave before we've seen any attempt at integrating him or giving him a real chance in the first choice 11. On the left on form i'd probably have Pogba, but with Cavani on the right I feel we might be lacking some pace without Sancho. I also think Sancho and VDB would link up nicely with intricate play. Again, i'm not saying this is the absolute best team for winning the game but it's the one i'd like to see. Personally I think Cavani is more than capable of playing on the right since he did for years at PSG with Zlatan as 9. He's work rate and ethic haven't diminished and I don't see him as being droppable.

Given evertons injury issues with several key players out, us playing at home and two title challengers facing each other with a looming international break, I will be very surprised if we don't drop points.

Ole teams have been consistently dropping points when it is easier to pick up all 3 and this sounds just like that.

Ah cheers. Sooner the better, such an important outlet for us imo. One of our most prolific forwards as well obviously, he’s been missed in this start to the season.

Exactly. Those 2-1 become 3-1's and those draws becomes wins.

I don’t like it when we have early kick offs. Probably confirmation bias, but we never seem to do well with early kick offs

Yeah we’ve been quite wasteful, he’s one of our most reliable forwards for goals.

It hasn’t been mentioned really that we’ve been without him during this somewhat shaky start to the season whilst trying to bed in 3 new players within the starting 11. He would have been a big help for Ole during this time imo.

I could be wrong but I feel like the Everton away “crisis” game early last season was also an early kick off and we controlled that game. We have to accept that the team is always evolving. A crisis to us is just work to the group. People seem to think once the players are in place that should automatically equal great football no mistakes and never losing again. While we may not like what we see for a few weeks or months we have to accept that once the season starts It’s always a work in progress and akin to fixing a moving car. It’s not easy and better players obviously help but fitness and familiarity and confidence and finding the best lineup are all massive factors too. I think we will hit a good run of form once we figure out how to maximise Ronaldo and keep Greenwood firing. Hopefully Ronaldo makes some space for the other attackers in the tighter games and that makes the difference this season

    2-1 United.

2-0 up inside 20' to go against the grain.

Set piece from the Toffees in the second half to make us squirm.

What a lovely match that would be

I think if it's not a draw, the winning team will only win by 1 goal. Another nervous last 15 mins

    I'm going bonkers:

    De Gea
    AWB Varane Bailly Telles
    DVB Matic
    Bruuuno
    Greenwood Ronaldo/Goat Pogba

Edit; i guess shaw is out

No Richarlison or Calvert Lewin? Feck, our lucks in. No excuse not to beat these guys.
Gray Doucoure and Townsend have been sharing the goal/assist duties. Don't think we will keep up a clean sheet. We ll just need to outscore them

    ManUtd flowchart:
Do we have a chance to go top of the league after this weekend games? if yes, proceed to lose or draw the match.

    Simples.

No excuses with the players they have missing, although Doucoure is in excellent form and will cause us problems.

My ideal team (not my prediction). It’s ballsy but life is short.

    De Gea
    AWB Varane Lindelof Telles
    Matic
    Bruno VDB
    Greenwood Cavani Ronaldo

    Subs: Lingard, Fred, Sancho
    United 3-1 (Ronaldo, Cavani x 2)

Ronaldo will obviously start. He’ll start most CL and PL games
No game midweek. I can’t see him not wanting to start. He’s also so economical in the play right now. He’s not a marauding winger anymore so the onus will be on the midfield to be working hard.

Everton have similar issues. Their midfield is suffering from injuries but their AMs are strong. I’m expecting a far wider game. Will come down to defensive resolve
