3 points is 3 points. Oh how we needed a win..

Clean sheet with Blind, McNair and later Carrick in defense.

I'd take 1-0 dull win over a game like Leicester for example.

2 weeks to sort it out and some of our defenders to get better since it seems McNair is now injured. Go figure, only CB not to be injured so far..

I'll take a rest off any United news and redcafe cause it has been extremely stressful all in all this year.

If he is our fullback in 20 years then there will be a problem.

Nah, just took really good care of himself ;). Besides a decade and half is still decades not decade as it is greater than 1.ie one and a half decades. Thats english for you if we are being pedantic.

What a snorefest. I would much rather go all hung ho than go Chelsea way and win 1-0 like that. All that talk about progression goes out of the window with that performance. I was loving the way we were playing with the diamond. Put Herrera in there! We need drive in midfield. Bench rvp and play roo up top. Its an irony that the only player who looks most likely to score for us starts on the bench. Di Maria was dire on that left side again.

An ugly three points. We'll take it, but anyone who recorded the match can immediately delete it.

Not happy at all despite the win. We needed to make some kind of statement today and in the end we've scraped a win after a terrible performance. 3 points is 3 points however you get them but this was Crystal Palace for God sake. If we can't beat them we can't beat anyone.

Phewwww. Not very pretty but 3 important points. We don't create much in this system, diamond is more fun but I guess until our defenders settle and we get confidence back in defense, we will have to grind out wins and trust attacking talents to get odd crucial goals.

Wow we got 3 points exactly in a Moyes style - individual brilliance play. Where is this "philosophy" now? Fluid attacking football of course?

3 points at home against Palace is a given. No credit for realising that.

Shit performance from a lot of the lads. Hopefully a win against Arsenal with a more convincing performance and we can pull away with a win streak - Hull, Stoke and Southampton all games I feel we can pick up 3 points in. Although today we've shown we can make things difficult for ourselves against the smallest of opponents :nervous:

He says plenty of good things about the club, you just only read the stuff that sells papers or the things papers sensationalize to get views on their articles. Maybe he's too negative but how can anyone who's supposed to be being objective not be? I don't like the fact he's suddenly talking about us none stop in the media but thats his job and i don't have to read it if i dont want to.
Ok, maybe you have a point. I read only things like nothing is good, allways negativity , etc etc. Jamie carragher and jamie redknapp are talking better things about club than him.

We brought off McNair because he was a CB and he hadn't gotten injured or sent off yet, so we tried to desperately preserve him for the next game. Unfortunately he tripped over on some water in the dressing room and is now out for 6 months with a broken leg.

    White text just in case.

I know we got the 3 points but that was extremely difficult to watch.
Yeah when we play once I week and I look forward to it all week to watch what I just watched is just depressing.

Take the 3pts and move on. Shaw been mint last few matches. Hopefully we see Di Maria in the middle again after the internationals.

Well, we've deserved to win but with Arsenal, Southampton and Liverpool to come in the next three games, there is much to worry about.

We'll play this same cagey formation, I'd put my bottom dollar on it.

 On my calendar it says we're playing Arsenal (A), Hull City (H), then Stoke (H)??

Rooney MoM? He was one of our worst player today. To slow, bad touch..

Blessed to get away with that. Awful performance. My confidence in LVG has been severely hurt by that, not only the poor performance, but also the crazy player swapping for no apparent reason. Shaw was the clear MOTM. Carrick gave a pretty good display. Wilson looked good when he came on. Di Maria and Januzaj were absolutely terrible. Despite the 3 points, I can't see us making top 4 if we continue to perform like that. If Palace had pressed us there's no doubt in my mind they would have won the game, we were lucky that they didn't do that.

Horrible game but we've got the three points and I'm happy with that for the moment!

I'll take that but the management needs to sort out a fixed formation and balance to the team. I would have played a 4-4-2 diamond from the start.

Wilson showed a lot more in 25 minutes than RVP did the entire game. I was amazed with the run he made and the way he ran into position to intercept one of their passes in their own half.

Speaking of Blind... man, he is such a liability according to the highlights I'm watching right now.

We where comfortable when when we went a goal up, hit the post and got in some good areas but made the wrong decisions.

    3 points :)

    Get a grip.
They played nothing like he would like, it wasn't attractive football. It was a bad performance and then to top it off it was at home, and Louis wants to please the fans. He's gonna be angry with them, he didn't even celebrate the goal.

3 points and a clean sheet but a poor performance. Slow build up play and kept resorting to the get it out wide and crap cross theme of the last few seasons. Too many attacking players living off reputation and not producing the goods. RvP was woeful again.

I read an article and heard Gary Neville talking about that a while ago. Generally managers going to the touch line and shouting at the players doesn't really do anything significant most of the time. The fans like to see it but the players hate it. That's not the problem for me.
Well I am comparing him to SAF (not fair I know as there's only one SAF!) though.

SAF always found opportunities to have a word with his captain or players whilst standing at the touch line. Or maybe make the linemen more alert etc. It also gives players a bit of intimidation when they know the manager was watching so close and being furious. They must have feared for hair drying treatment and give a 10% more efforts. No?

Is there such a thing as a disappointing 3 points?

As I said last week stuff the performance the result is what matters. We played ok last week but still lost the game.
