Well both Di Maria and Januzaj have proved ineffective out wide so far, Valencia never looks that convincing at RB, would starting Vermijl been that much of a gamble instead given that he's a natural fullback? What about giving Thorpe a opportunity instead of playing the likes of Blind or Carrick out of position.

These guys on tsn are awful. Blaming Van Gaal for not knowing who our best back four is apparently and constantly changing it is proof of that. Or saying we were a shambles defensively vs City and there was always someone open. I mean what do you expect when when we have so many injuries at the back that Van Gaal has no choice but to play those there, or that we had a red away to City so there was always going to be more space?
