Why does Januzaj start? He's been pretty shite bar a good spell against Chelsea. 4-3-3 is stupid when you've got two ineffective out of form wingers.

To be fair, we had City after Chelsea and he only played 30 mins of that...

Wonder why he keeps Herrera on the bench.
    I think he's been good.

I think Fellani giving us a bit of height is what's keeping Herrera out, the lack of height in our team is a real weakness, I think you will find when we get two of Evans, Jones and Smalling back in, Herrera will be back playing. Credit to Fellani too he has played well the last few weeks.

    You're right - He wasn't that great.
He's a promising player, but you'd think he'd been out of this world reading some comments.
This! I don't see what the fuss is about. A lot of our fans are maybe just desperate to have a fashionable spaniard in the team. He hasn't bad at all but he didn't stand out either. Why are we surprised anyway, the fact that we were the only ones for him should tell us something. He is promising and definitely a good addition but that's about it really.

Hope at the very least Herrera can come off the bench today and show his worth. The defence looks iffy but good to see Carrick back.

Didn't expect Januzaj to start after his woeful last few performances, Mata on the bench again...

Remember Januzaj made his debut against Crystal Palace last season!

Considering Blind used to play RB/CB (if I recall correctly) i don't think it's that bad of a move. But still, seems to me that we have a weird starting XI, but with the injuries and all that might be the best we can do. Still wanted Herrera in there though.

Januzaj has to do good in training, has been quite average but another first team place.

Didn't think he was bad against Chelsea or City especially considering the lack of first team football he had before that. Glad he's playing today. We need the width.

You're the other extreme it seems as opposed to people who think he has been brilliant.

He has been very good imo and is due to start a game finally. Its not about having a 'fashionable spaniard'..

Herrera not starting again is really starting to grate me. He's our best midfielder after Di Maria.
Given that hes playing with a bruised/cracked rib its amazing hes even fit enough for the bench...

He did well against Chelsea, and the City match was obviously a write off. I'm happy enough to see him start today.

Herrera has been one of our best players this season. Anyone that argues otherwise must be watching games with their eyes closed.

So now we are scared of Crystal Palace as well?
Well Fellaini has played well too

Btw Crystal Palace have scored 6 of their 14 goals from set-pieces (3rd most in the league i think).....Blind isn't so tall so Fellaini will help there too

If it's draw after 60 minutes then Herrera will come on for Fellaini

I would like to see Herrera too but i can see why Fellaini plays and not Herrera

Fellaini has been good too though, he took his chance when Herrera was out. Why should he be dropped all of a sudden? Herrera will have to do the same, it's the whole point of competition in the squad.

I just hope it's not di Maria in the winger role. Put him back where he was so brilliant to start with.

I didnt say Fellaini wasnt good, just pointing out the fact Herrera has been very good to people who think he's not all that and are proving that with the fact nobody was after him and similar..

What because he had the cheek to break a rib?

no, he is fit already. He is training 3 weeks, sitting 3 times on the bench already. He dropped him, even if some of you cant or wont understand it. He wont play unless someone has a shocker or injures himself

It looks like a 4222. Rooney will play as a striker, no need to have him as AM.

I can totally understand Herrera not playing the previous two games, but I certainly expected him to start today, it's a home game against Palace, it seemed the perfect one to bring him back into.

We've not exactly been ripping trees up.

I agree with you on that, I think Herrera is the better midfielder over Fellaini in fact, but saying he's due to start purely based on that isn't right. He'll have to fight for his place like everyone else.

Actually on second thought I can see why Fellaini is in for herrera. Extra defensive cover, muscle and height due to not having any senior center backs so he can help out blind and McNair. Makes sense.

I think it's good that Van Gaal is sticking with the in form player. Would send a bad message if he dropped Fellaini after 3 good performances, IMO.

We need to buy a winger in the summer.

Januzaj isn't good enough as of yet and Di Maria is inconsistent there, as we're all aware of. Buying Reus or Depay or someone with real quality there will perhaps mean LvG will resist from putting Di Maria there and play him in LCM instead, where he's excelled.

We obviously need to buy some defenders first but next in line is a few wingers, especially if we're going to persist with 4-3-3.

This feels like a big game. Decent performances against superior opposition have resulted in 1 point from a possible 6. What's needed now is points on the board, and with home games vs Palace, Hull and Stoke in the next 4 weeks, points is what's expected.

That needs to start today, or the narrative surrounding Van Gaal and this current side, could start to get pretty ugly.

No ADM corners. Even if Rooney has to take out swingers

It was inevitable. You cant survive in the premier league with formations as narrow as LVG tried for the first few weeks. He's finally copped on to it, granted after we've dropped 17 points.

We have a staggering 2 points out of 9 since we started playing 433 (granted it wasn't conventional 433 against West Brom but still).
