    Not much rotation for this one. Should win it really with that side. Could have rotated more I think and had some power on the bench.
     
    Surprisingly strong side, would have expected a lot more youth in the XI with a bench of strong options, not the other way round. Ole clearly wants to avoid an upset, and get a trophy in his first full season.
     
    On one hand I look at the team and think it’s a weirdly strong side.
    On the other I look at Mata, Matic and Andreas and think we’ll lose.
     
    I like it, Rashford and Martial weren't on the same page against Everton. A perfect game to work up some chemestry.

    too many games next 3 weeks and need to rotate. Are fecked if Radhford or Martial gets injured tonight.

    Yesh, it’s probably a training session to see how they can do against low block teams.

    Kinda like that, exploring different set-ups. But very afraid of injuries ...

    Wowzers... Fecking strong line up. Go on lads, win this and draw Villa in the semis, and that'll be the perfect day for me in Birmingham!
     
    Strange team selection, it has to be said. I don't see the point in starting any of Rashford, Maguire, Martial, Young, Shaw or even Greenwood - who is practically begging for a PL start which is now unlikely given he starts tonight - in a League Cup game against 3rd division Colchester. Not when the likes of Laird, Williams, Garner, Gomes, and Chong would have gained far more from this occasion and the drop in quality would be barely noticeable - if at all.
     
    Slightly overpowered line up suggests this is a competition Ole is out to win.

    Also no Gomes in the squad is damning (providing he's not injured).
     
    Surprising line-up, we've rested Fred and McTominay at least but I'm surprised Maguire, Rashford and Martial are starting.
     
    Win this we are in the semi final - makes sense to start with a strong team. Probably our best chance of silverware this season...

    3 goals in the first half for us would hopefully mean taking Rashford and Martial out
