Chelsea are so bad it is untrue. That said, I am just please to see that we are making some chances and it was enjoyable to watch.. you can only beat what is in front of you and we haven't even been able to do that.. so this performance so far is an improvement.

Wouldn't mind if LVG got given another game on the back of this, even Rooney played well.

Same as every other match this season, ten minute great then after that not good enough. Somewhat better but surely must be too little too late.

Good intensity for a while, but we've managed one shot on target. Meh. Still far from good enough.

Gonna be horrible if this ends 0-0, but at least we have some kind of blueprint for louis on how to go forward.

Rooney doing well for a change helps, shows how much more potent we would likely look with a proper all rounder at 9.

Would still like to see more movement from martial on that wing, since mata is basically playing at #10 we have no right winger

Chelsea are always rubbish with Mikel.

In the context of lacking confidence it's a good performance, but it's still really ordinary in the grand scheme of things.

Much more fight to get the ball back.

Awful set pieces from us. A lot more intent overall, but not really enough clear chances as of yet and the second half of that first half was like a lot of other games this season. Start brightly, no goals, go into a bit of a lull where we just keep possession without creating anything.

More then anything, our final ball and shooting is letting us down. Just the one shot on target from 8 attempts, and with how high up the pitch we held possession and how much of it we had, we probably should've made a lot more of that.

That was really fun to watch for the first 25 minutes! Hope we turn it on again like that in the second half.

What a sight it is to see Martial running at (or should I say past) and taking on defenders!!

    We need to score.

Playing well enough here under a lot of pre match pressure but nothing to show for it. We have to repeat the energy in the second half and get our reward this time. I'd like to see us taking risks up front and shooting whenever there's a clear sight of goal. Maybe a bit of luck can fall our way?

The same lads booing at the end prob bought the Mourinho scarf

Played well there. Utilising the space provided. A bit of luck and we will get a goal here.

playing well enough, but don't look in the slightest like scoring.

Martial making a scenario from nothing to hit the post was very much the exception today.

Got to watch the fouling now, or we'll end with ten which will be very dangerous

Just feel the more experienced Chelski players might just steal this with a stupid mistake. We shouldn't get caught up in silly fouls or play to their games when deep in our half. We also need to crowd their box for crosses, they look pretty dodgy at times.

Much, much better, more like we were playing earlier in the season. BFS makes the difference.

Can't fault Rooney's work ethic, but he still looks like little boy lost out there. To me, to me! Plays simple sideways /back pass.
Swines tiger has been the week point for me, to slow ..... Seems out of sync with the rest of the team. He's playing plenty of passes but then given the same amount of space so could I

Ivanovic used to be one of the best defenders. Now he's a total liability, hopefully that can be punished in the 2nd.

I liked how we looked for some 35 minutes.

One question about Schneiderlin's yellow. They both went in, both missed the balled, both hit each other, but just one received a yellow, while the other started crying or something. How did the ref decided that Morgan was at fault there? (not saying he wasn't)

I was thinking the same thing. Looking at the replay, it's probably because Schneiderlin's challenge was a bit later with his leg higher.

Can't see it, not with this Chelsea side. 0-0 s our best hope. None of our forward players seem to want the ball.

Their counter aside, very good start of the half, followed by the same unimaginative football as usual. One moment summarizes it all - Bastian wanting to play 1-2 on the edge of their box with Morgan, and Morgan didn't do it even though he saw him. Apart from individual moments of brilliance, nothing to write home about.

PS: Chelsea are really, really bad.

Schweinsteiger's been poor. Always plays like he has an abundance of time and can take a few touches, but he doesn't have the speed of thought or agility to play his way out of trouble.

I don't think Darmian has been that bad. Schweinsteiger, on the hand, looks like he's singlehandedly eaten hos local Asda's left over mince pies.

We just need to keep Chelsea guessing and utilise the space in the second half. The transition from defense to midfield to attack has been a bit more fluid and overall a lot more energy and desire. Sir Alex probably made a promise to organise a team diner at Nando's if they get the win.

Good intensity for a while, but we've managed one shot on target. Meh. Still far from good enough.
...stats boys even those 2 shots not on target...ah screw it,we had one shot on target its not good enough...

Chelsea aren't pressing at all yet we still look fairly toothless.

Everyone is saying that Chelsea look awful, but it really seems like their plan is just to let us have the ball and then nick a goal on the counter. They've done it once already this season and they were starting to look a bit more dangerous in doing this. We also look like we might get a red card or two fouling them when they break. Could easily go either way
