    good half, we should be a winning though. good play from united against a very very poor chelsea side. We seriously need to be winning this.
     
    To conclude that half, great first 25 had opportunities and played with intensity . Chelsea are incredibly deep making it hard and have class players on the counter. In happy so far really just get a goal and were right in there.
     
    Good first half, yet ultimately failed to score. I feel like I have seen this before. I have a feeling second half there will be a drop off in performance and we will fail to score again. The only question that remains is whether Chelsea will fail to score as well?
     
    Chelsea are absolutely shithouse, they are there for the taking.

    Just don't know where a goal is going to come from, which has been a recurring theme this season.
     
    The longer the game goes without us scoring, the more the doubts will start to creep into our players' heads, the more restless the crowd will become, and the more Chelsea will grow in confidence.

    We need to start the first half like we started the second half, and hopefully make it count this time.

    If we don't? Then I fear for us, Fletch'.
     
    We wont win this but at least I've enjoyed 45 minutes of football.

    If we keep this up and get better at creating chances that are clearer, it's fine. It's when we lose our possession and/or when the opposition has teeth we get punished ;P

    We're some way off our best, but I like our general style of play. Blind in defence is vital at times, because he's so confident on the ball and is good at sneakily getting the midfield on the ball, and sometimes carrying it out and getting it straight to attack.
     
    We need to get the ball to Martial as often as possible, he's got Ivanovic on toast. Was quite frustrated when BFS could have played it to him with a clear run at ivanovic but he instead passed to Herrera who had nothing much on and ended up taking a half hearted shot from 30 yards.
     
    That was a fecking hatchet job on Hazard there. Disgraceful that Ander Herrera avoided a yellow.
     
    I liked how we looked for some 35 minutes.

    One question about Schneiderlin's yellow. They both went in, both missed the balled, both hit each other, but just one received a yellow, while the other started crying or something. How did the ref decided that Morgan was at fault there? (not saying he wasn't)

    Definitely. When Rooney had the ball, he only had Martial running. He should have someone running down that right wing too, and possibly someone breaking down the middle too. The goal against Arsenal always come to mind of how we should counter.
     
    So much better, should be one up. Only fear is the players will start thinking along those lines and feck it up.
     
    What a fall from grace this fixture is this year. Chelsea set the tone, and United can't capitalise on a team who don't look interested in playing football today.

    Mata in the middle, Herrera a bit further back with one of the Sch's out and Memphis on for some pace.

    We're lop-sided and not really getting at them as you would with a team who have deeper issues than we do right now.
     
    We actually looked like United for that 45 minutes.

    United have been very very good. Just need to be more active in the final third. Rooney has been ok. A great improvement from what he was since the season began.

    I am not sure Chelsea will be this easy in the second half. United need to concentrate and score. I am still confident that United will win. Please just win dammit.

    You're completely exaggerating his faults in attack and entirely undervaluing what he does defensively. Our midfield has absolutely dominated Chelseas, that's not down to Schweinsteiger, that's down to Schneiderlin. But hey, when you decide we are going to be shit before the match starts, what's the point in something like the football getting in the way of your inane moaning?

    We don't look hard to beat though. If the chelsea players were in form/attacking with more they'd scored a couple on their counter attacks.
     
    Great start. After half hour it really died which almost always happens after a start like that no matter which team is playing.

    This game is there for the taking. But this team cannot score to save their lives.
     
    good half but we really need a goal. it's back to square one if we don't win this.

    chelsea has been so bad though, struggle to see how they can get to top half of the table let alone european places.
