We're not a unit - every other top team comes across as a cohesive group, but we're a back 6 and a front four, both doing their own thing irrelevant of the other.

The attack is a laugh, it's pure freeform. I've seen more cohesive teams playing 5-aside.

Poor game. Chelsea are a lot better than us and that is evident.

Hojlund should have released the ball early couple of times. Besides that we haven't looked threatening enough. OT also seems quiet.

We also had the better chances. The forwards need to do better.

Really need Diallo on for either winger, need some creativity up there

Annoying that they keep on about the Chelsea penalty shout. It was a blatant push by Madueke on Casemiro at the front post and should have been a FK out.

Mazraoui has been good. The rest have been very average. Feel like we need Eriksen's composure in MF.

Well at least it’s still 0-0. It’s probably going to be one of those games where the result will determine how people look at how we have played…

yeh he got the onana one wrong but rather have him talking sense than any other pundit - somewhere here said they prefer Savage, which says all we need to know. point is he is right: we've been poor, chelsea have been better, even if only a bit
It has been about even but you wouldn't think that listening to Neville. He's also making stuff up i.e. the foul on Onana. It's not his first rodeo being negative about United, he's always at it and fans get annoyed.

Both teams are going forward at pace.
The pace is what’s leading to mistakes and some lack of quality.
    Which team will tire first?

Who will you put on for Ugarte?
Jesus, had no idea who we got on the bench. No much options I admit in that case.

But one more foul from him and RVN will have to do something about it if we don't want to finish the game with 10

Are they getting blaked in the sky studio?

Giggling over nothing as they came back on air, then sure I've just heard glasses clink as it went to adverts

Was there even any contact between colwill and Martinez? And have they even mentioned the Rashford pen shout since it happened?

Where has all the expectation come from in this thread? Was not expecting us to rinse them or even anything like it.... It's 0-0 at half time, no need to be losing your shit guys

    De Ligt also very good

The puzzling part is that when Ten Hag first arrived, many fans were already calling for a deep-lying playmaker—someone who could control the game from midfield. This was even before Casemiro joined. Now, a couple of years later, we're still buying ball-winning midfielders, yet lacking that creative, press-resistant presence in the center.

Take Ugarte, for instance. He might thrive under Amorim’s system, but without two press-resistant midfielders, any team can simply target the weaker link—the one less comfortable on the ball.
Completely agree and I think it was the main thing that started putting question marks in my head about ten Hag. How Amorim treats our central midfield and how he prioritises signing players who are press resistant @Yagami will illustrate a lot, I reckon

Was there even any contact between colwill and Martinez? And have they even mentioned the Rashford pen shout since it happened?
I genuinely saw no contact and a delayed dive yet we got the sooper dooper slo mo zoomed in replay. Rashford’s? Barely a mention.

I don't agree. I think they had the better chances to score. Neither side has been great
Which ones? They haven't done very much besides hitting the woodwork once. For us Garnacho, Hojlund & Rashord should have all done better with the chances that fell their way.

Given the type of player he is, I hope Ugarte is used to playing on a yellow card and knows when to let something go

A team of individuals with no real pattern of defending and attacking, that is ETHs parting gift! It'll take an awful lot of work from Amorim to undo this team and build it up to play modern football. Not sure he will be afforded the time but there is no way he's getting the funds to replace these lot!

Not the best half of football by any stretch, but feck me Neville is such an insufferable little bell to listen to, sucks the life from any game.
'There'... Whenever there's a replay of an incident. Really winds me up.

Seems they missed a clear foul on Rashford in the box when everyone was looking at the Hojlund incident.

What a goal that would've been from Rashford. Sensational pass from Bruno and a well hit volley. Pretty uneventful half other than that. Martinez looks like he's regained his sharpness.

Of course they wouldn't look at our penalty shouts
We don’t have any tbh. It’s not a conspiracy.

We need to create more chances from open play. Forget hoping for penalties and decisions.

The sooner Ruben is in, the better.

Not a a lot of quality in that half. Still anyone's game and it feels like it will take an individual to win it. I worry there's more chance of one of their players doing that than us.

I actually think Neville just has a higher standard in his head for our players. Expects them to never take a bad touch or anything.
Even on the Caf, he'd be banned long time ago. He's being watched by millions of people, and the standard should be higher.

Some pretty negative reactions here. You realise we're playing Chelsea, not a second-string Leicester side right?

Well.. ETH wanted Frenkie and Frenkie might be the most press resistant player in world football. We also do have Mainoo who is also very press resistant.
