I'm not even attempting to pick a 11 as mostly all under achieved , if not all..

I'm not even going to watch tonight. Giving my blood pressure a day off.. I will wait for my phone to Buzz ... just good luck lads

Tonight, two things will happen for the 1st time. Antony will cross the ball and Hojlund will score in the league. Then it will be disallowed.

I might be misremembering, but didn't Højlund score one in the league pretty early on, only to have it disallowed?

His debut in the league I think - or first start? Versus brighton. still think that ball was in play and was one of the many absolutely awful decisions that went against us early on in the season.

I think tonight's game is hugely important in terms of performance and results. Not saying we'll beat them, but win well tonight and I think that gives us some good confidence to put in respectable performances against Bayern and Liverpool. Lose and or play badly and I fear that confidence will drop even further and we'll be on the receiving end of either one or two hammerings.

If ETH and the team is to turn a corner, I think tonight is the night.

Same performance as last season please. 4-0 win. Any win will do with a decent performance. We have Bournemouth at the weekend which should be 3 pts so taking full points here would be massive considering Villa have city and Arsenal. Chance to close some gaps.

Left to me, we would see:

    Onana

    Reguilon
    Shaw
    Varane
    Dalot

    Mainoo
    Amrabat

    Mount
    Bruno
    Antony

    Hoijlund

We need to start seeing more support in midfield. We've been getting continually caught in transition since Jose's days ffs and somehow it remains a problem. If we can't address it positionally, then I believe we need to start fielding players that are more willing to spend time in that area.

The odd plucky 3-0 result isn't sustainable when you get caught out as many times in a match as we do. This Chelsea team could easily blitz us if we leavr ourselves as open as we have been.
    Mount is injured BTW

Tough one this, the PL hasn't had a 0-0 this season so far (If I read it correctly), so that means this game is a prime candidate to break that.

However, Chelsea hasn't won at OT in 10 seasons and we love to break those kind of streaks and records under ETH, so could also see a 1-0 to Chelsea.
Bournemouth v Chelsea, Crystal Palace v Fulham and Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest all ended 0-0

There should be a reaction tonight, a 10-minute energy surge featuring the wounded egos retaliating against the naysayers who dare say they are lazy and overpaid.

If Martial starts that won't happen at all ;-)

Anyone else considering not watching tonight, just fecking tired of these players. Even if they scape a 1-0 it'll be uninspiring rubbish.

Not live because I'm in the office today but will watch it when I get home later.

All bottom half clashes. This is a top half clash. There will be goals :wenger:

Lose against a struggling Chelsea side and I will lose all faith in the manager's abilities.

They are as bad as us and we're at home. We should win this.

Many underestimating Chelsea here who are rightly favourites. Caicedo, Enzo and Palmer is a no contest to whatever midfield we put out.

Yep, that's the one that was very similar to the goal in the World Cup match. If the EPL had top-down views on the lines that ball probably would've been shown to be in play.

I'm conflicted. We could scrape through here and get destroyed at anfield or lose here comfortably and maybe beat Liverpool with a Bruno led new manager bounce.

Should be a narrow win for us. We’ve been eating up teams we should beat for the last 18 months so jump on the odds.

I'm strangely confident. I'm sure that will evaporate quickly when I start watching.

All will be revealed tonight as to the true character of ETH. Stick or twist...

100%, and weeks later, a crucial newcastle goal was allowed as there was no definitve evidence to rule it out. Where inconsistency in refereeing exists, Man United are often nearby

Maybe a hungry Rashford off the bench against tired legs is what we need?
