Blaming Onana is silly. He's been fine
I felt for him when he won that ball, jinked past the player onto his left and chose not to shoot as it was so far out, passed to Bruno and made a run through thinking he might get it back and Bruno just leathers one with no hope of going in.Some of the Hojlund bashing is a bit weird. He's had one chance and then barely any service at all. He's been completely selfless and laid off simple but progressive balls to EVERYONE else and never gets anything back. Garnacho and McTominay are basically feeding off him but also taking all his chances and spaces.
Hence it being a terrible signing. We need goals now not potentially in 2 seasons.Right plater, wrong role.
He needed to be an option for a season or 2 gaining experience.
Not thrown in as the main guy.
Sure, but this conversation was more of a conversation prior to the season. Although I'm not sure an elite striker would have done anything, but paper over the cracks with how bad the others have been. At this point with how bad we've been, I don't see how Hojlund is the wrong transfer. We know we're not going to get 3 trophies. Might as well view every match with a long term tint to it.Cos that's where we are as a club now, signing potential for the price of proven then spending time to develop the player without challenging for any honours, we're basically a shit Dortmund.
To be fair to Dortmund when they sign potential it's not usually for 65 mill +
He's the first player I've seen in a long time who talked himself up in the press before the match and then actually went on to play really well.Antony had a very good half by the way.
Much much better today. Lots more energy. Good decisions for the most part too. Should be about 3 ahead.
He doesn’t though.Garnacho does everything Rashford gets absolutely slaughtered for. He’s constantly losing the ball
Lindelof has been just as bad in virtually every game I’ve seen of him in the past 2 months. He also has far less credit in the bank on previous seasons form too
Thanks Mr Obvious. I’ve never bashed Onana before, on this one occasion I’ve said he should have done better. Which he should have.
No matter how many we score under Erik we will always concede an equal amount or more with his disregard for the importance of midfield.
Agree. That goal is on Lindelof. Defending like a scared rabbit. Just attack the player and ball. Stop going back and watch people run.Blaming Onana is silly. He's been fine
It was a tricky shot but a very slow one.Harsh blaming him for the goal, it was a lovely finish
Sure. Now we're in this situation, of course. We shouldn't be in this situation though and it doesn't make it a good signing for what we needed.Sure, but this conversation was more of a conversation prior to the season. Although I'm not sure an elite striker would have done anything, but paper over the cracks with how bad the others have been. At this point with how bad we've been, I don't see how Hojlund is the wrong transfer. We know we're not going to get 3 trophies. Might as well view every match with a long term tint to it.
Let Hojlund learn from the experience. We have nothing to lose, and it's not worth getting upset over it at this point.
Don't tell me people are? Lindelof was so poor on the goal and was exposed with midfielders not dropping back to help out. Same midfielders so easy to play through.Blaming Onana is silly. He's been fine
It means that you had a hard on for him even when it was clear as day that he was unprofessional and was putting in half shifts.I don't know what this means, and why you're talking about Pogba in the United vs Chelsea PL 2023 match thread
Garnacho does everything Rashford gets absolutely slaughtered for. He’s constantly losing the ball
The 4 defenders around Palmer shouldn't have allowed that shot throughYep, don't see how Onana could have done much more there.
Way too wasteful for it to be considered a good half IMOAntony had a very good half by the way.
Disagree. A 14 year old youth keeper has better footwork.Blaming Onana is silly. He's been fine
