    Lindelof has been just as bad in virtually every game I’ve seen of him in the past 2 months. He also has far less credit in the bank on previous seasons form too
     
    Decent half, we should have scored more on chances. We still look very shaky every time chelsea attack.
    Whilst Mct is a goal threat for us , id put mainoo in to tighten our midfield up.
     
    It’s easy to blame Onana but you see many goals conceded like that. Those unsighted slow balls always seem to creep in if placed well.
     
    We have looked good going forward but Amrabat and McTominay in midfield is an massive issue, neither of them are able to defend and are leaving our defence very exposed.
     
    We've played some nice football at times but against a less shit side, with attackers who weren't as allergic to scoring as our are, we'd be fecked right now.

    But it was entertaining at least. I wonder if our energy levels will be the same in the second half.
     
    At this stage, I just appreciate the good performance, the desire, the press, the chances. I just hope we do the same in second half and build on playing more positive like this.
     
    First 25 minutes again we've been brilliant, but with the Chelsea equalizer I can just see this getting away from us again in the second half. Much more cause for optimism though, seeing them work as a unit when pressing without having to carry one or two players has created a lot chances. Surprised about the Amrabat comments, apart from that silly pass I think he's made some good interceptions & kept the ball moving going forward.
     
    Onana not to blame for the goal. Palmer has found the corner from an unlikely position.

    agree with earlier poster that whilst he might get you a goal, McT just doesn’t offer anything off the ball.

    don’t know what Chelsea need to do to get a yellow either. More so based on what we have received yellows for.

    Rashford needs to remain on the bench. I couldn’t bare to see him introduced and kill any/all attacks

    McT looked injured coming off so that change might be forced.
     
    No matter how many we score under Erik we will always concede an equal amount or more with his disregard for the importance of midfield.
     
    Get Mainoo on and please don't drop points against this horrible Chelsea side.
     
    Much much better today. Lots more energy. Good decisions for the most part too. Should be about 3 ahead.
     
    Such a frustrating game. We have played so well in building attacks. We're actually passing with speed and purpose. But in front of goal we just lose all decision making. Pass instead of shot, shot instead of pass. If one of Licha or Casemiro were fit, we'd be out of sight in this game.

    But we need to keep going. If we can keep the pressure, then we'll get chances. I'm just worried players will run out of steam. But if that doesn't happen I'm confident of a win.

    With the knock that McTominay took, I would be surprised if he starts the second half even though he played through it until halftime.
     
    Really good game of football from us.

    With the pen and that Scotty header, could have had 3 goals.

    Intense, hard work. Top three running.

    Onana had no chance with that goal.
    It was right in the corner from a cut back shot, well outside his reach.
    The keeper has to cover both posts.
    The fault was conceding in possession and allowing Chelsea to get the ball to Palmer unchallenged.
    The defence didn’t smother Palmer to stop him getting a shot off.
     
    As with Gala and Copenhagen, by far the better team. Unfortunately, we've not taken our chances and find ourselves going in at half time 1-1.

    That said, I personally feel if we continue playing the way we have, we'll go onto win this. We just need to make sure we don't lose the ball in silly areas and get countered.
     
    Some of the Hojlund bashing is a bit weird. He's had one chance and then barely any service at all. He's been completely selfless and laid off simple but progressive balls to EVERYONE else and never gets anything back. Garnacho and McTominay are basically feeding off him but also taking all his chances and spaces.

    How can someone want to replace best United player today? McTominay and Fernandes are so important today with their direct, aggressive play. Mainoo is good at holding ball and starting plays. We don't need that right now.
     
    I think dropping Rashford makes a huge difference to our pressing game. We basically use the same scheme as teams like Newcastle but their wingers (Almiron, Gordon) work like they're possessed and Isak isn't a slouch either.

    The whole thing falls apart when you have to carry guys like Rashford / Martial.

    I’ve made a small fortune backing the other team to win or draw every time United go into a lead this season. If we are 2-1 or 3-2 up with 10 mins to go put £20 each on the other team to win or draw. At least we can Make some money out of our misery this season ?
     
    Have to presume that was our "good" half... worried about the second 45
