I think you have been watching James or you need some new glasses.Shocked to see the positive reviews on McTominay in this game. His passing is so poor and doesn't turn with the ball when there is opportunity to move the ball forward. The control in midfield is non-existent.
A Hakim Ziyech spot kick, or a Mason Greenwood shot could seal this tie. I was expecting a high scoring draw; however, it looks like a solitary goal will be enough to win for either side.
Mata is better right now. What are we punishing Greenwood for?
I would agree but we need Dan James to keep Reece James back. Rashford doesn't track back nearly as much when on the wing and will be a dangerous subJames has been in promising positions but Shaw, Maguire and Bruno don't seem to want to pass it to him. I think the 3-4 times he lost the ball in the begining of the half has put them off it. They don't trust him. If that was Rashford - we would be seeing much more penetration.
Cavani for James pronto!
Var looking at an absolute non incident and ignoring Maguire's WWE audition
Evra and JFH
Seems fair.I think they took in account his mental distress.
Evra is getting quite annoying now. It is the human equivalent of this forum. Constant bitter moaning.
We spent billion on midfield and decide to defend. Same shit. Both managers are happy with the draw todaySpent like a billion on attackers and they put out 5 at the back with two defensive midfielders.
Watching the Maguire penalty incident again. Its actually quite funny that no penalty was given.
None of them thought it was a pen.Even though we didn't get a pen when their guy swiped Rashford's foot?
I think you have been watching James or you need some new glasses.
Now let’s use this bench to take the advantage.
Telles on for Shaw now that Shaw has the yellow.
Greenwood on for James (for obvious reasons)
Cavani on for Mother Therashford if the saint’s right foot is unable to go, otherwise Pogba on for McSauce
**not all at once at HT
It’s great to have these options off the bench! A few on the bench will be upset not to get on the pitch
I know you've seen more of him, but players should not be judged on this game imo.Gonna be honest, I don't see it with havertz at all. Hes not explosive at all, no pace/power. He's not a good dribbler. Hes a good finisher, a decent passer, and decent movement. Nothing defensively.... I just don't get why his hype exploded like it did. Always kinda felt that way with him, he doesn't do much when I see him but gave him the benefit of doubt that maybe I just didn't watch the right games. He's young, new to the league, but I don't see the raw attributes in his game that led to the insane hype.
The absolute best case for his potential is a Thomas Muller that he just becomes super efficient with everything.
The bench is packed with talent, what must they be thinking watching James out there. His selection is a total mystery.
Chelsea should have had a penalty. Huge let off. Fecking Maguire.
Not sure why you have rated Fred and McT so highly when they've had no control of the midfield whatsoeverDe Gea - 5, not much to do
Maguire - 6, made some good stops/interceptions, lucky to not give away a pen
Lindelof - 5, Haven't seen him really
Shaw - 4, booked, made some shite passes
AWB - 6, decent, venturing upfield
Fred - 7, solid (minus one stupid mistake)
McSauce - 7, also solid
Mata - 7, looking good
James - 3, terrible. Making the wrong decisions all the time.
Bruno - 6, trying to create, but needs to up his game a bit
Rashford - 5, poor service, should've made it 1-0
Makes zero sense playing for a draw when a win is still possible and we're presently sitting in 15th.I think he will not change anything. This is setup where he decided to secure point and he will stick with it
