fecking nightmare
thought as much, happened to me few times. So happy I am not the only one.
The awful thing is that our bench was better than starting eleven in so many positions we could not sub them all.
VdB for Mata, Telles for Shaw, Greenwood or Cavani for James, not even mentioning we could have McT for VdB and even use Pogba.
The selection was not great, Chelsea is no Newcastle, but we should've won.
Dan James can't score a goal to save his life. When we are playing without Greenwood and Martial, we only have one attacker who can find the back of the net - Rashford. As evidenced by today's 0:0 scoreline. At the very least, I wish Ole would have brought Cavani and Greenwood at half-time.
That's fair and I agree James isn't much of an attacking threat.Individual errors and shortcomings aside, is anybody else SHOCKED by how bad our passing is?
I don't have statistics, but it feels like we should be somewhere at the top of some list by the number of bad passes. It's painful to watch, really.I thought Ole was going to be a throwback in the way he initially spoke about the Man Utd way of front foot football but yesterday reminded me of the game at home against Chelsea when Moyes was manager, basically don‘t lose.
I sort of get the pragmatism on the back of our last home performance but this wasn’t us pouring forward, risking defeat in search of victory. Ole is falling somewhere between Moyes and Mourinho with the odd bit of Fergie chucked in every now and then.
Yeah that's a good example for yesterday's game. Even that game was more entertaining than yesterday as Rooney played with some passion on the back of the transfer speculations. He was the best player on the pitch by a mile.
Another example I remembered yesterday was the same fixture in Van Gaal's second season. Guus Hiddink was in charge for Chelsea after Mourinho got the sack and it was another borefest like yesterday. Yet we have people who say "we're never boring under Ole". I wonder if they watch all of our games or only the big games where we pull the ultimate underdog performance.- Status
