Please, Pogba, no gimmicks before the game. It just adds to your tension, just go out there and prove them all wrong with the performance of the season.

I think we'll be set up to stifle them and Poggers to prove the doubters wrong by turning in a performance and slamming a 25 yarder past Courtois!

That's one thing I'm sure it won't happen.

This is going to be a tight game. I'm thinking a 0-0, 1-1, 1-0, or 0-1. Probably going to be a player sent off at some point.

Can we play 5 at the back on Sunday?

We may field Darmian or Blind as the 3rd defender with Valencia and Shaw on the sides?

Pogba will need to raise his game for this one, all eyes will be on him. This will be the game where he will finally prove the doubters wrong. Jose loves to be the party pooper and this may yet turn out to be a repeat of the game where he crashed Liverpool's party in 2014. Zlatan will show why he deserves to win the POTY award.

Think the previous league meetings in the op are wrong, where it says we beat them 1-0 was actually, surprise surprise, a 0-0 draw last season

    Mkhitaryan Zlatan Lingard
    Pogba Fellaini
    Herrera
    Shaw Rojo Bailly Valencia
    deGea
The game is going to depend on if our midfield can pass the ball against Kante and how Valencia handles Hazard. If he picks up an early booking, we're done.

    This.

I'd get Lingard to press on Kante. As good as he is, his passing is not his strength so I'd like to see Lingard push on him as often as possible

I'm usually optimistic, but I think we will get comfortably beaten on Sunday. Chelsea play as a unit with good organisation and are pretty nifty in front of goal. Our lack of goals at home will cost us heavily and I don't think our attackers are playing with much confidence at all. Too scared to shoot and just aren't playing with any flow or style. Whoever is to blame, we can all guess, but maybe a good thrashing is what we need to start having a go at teams. We seem more intent in being hard to beat than actually beat someone.

I think Jose will go with as solid a team possible to not lose. Wouldn't expect any aggressive attacking play. My hunch is we go with 3 centre backs and 2 wing backs.

    ------------------
    de Gea
    ---------Bailly----Rojo----Blind
    Tony------------------------------Darmian
    ---------Herrera-------Pogba
    Mhki---------------------------Rashford
    ----------------Zlatan

If the ref allows the game to flow and doesn't book people left, right and centre, I'll be fairly optimistic.

    Pogba to step up.

    Mkhitaryan Zlatan Lingard
    Pogba Fellaini

    Shaw Rojo Bailly Valencia

This. Hazard will do his usual 'Oh, someone is running alongside me, I must throw myself to the ground and scream like a Ned Flanders' routine. Refs fall for it every week.

Similar tactics like last time. 3 at the backs, counter attacks with pace and high full press.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian Shaw
    Herrera Carrick
    Pogba
    Rashford Zlatan
Defensively, Shaw could also play as LCB instead of Darmian, and Young play at LWB. Or Darmian play with Shaw on the bench. I doubt Mourinho would play Blind against top teams like Chelsea.

Mkhitaryan is off form and have no chemistry with Zlatan, so Rashord may play for the paces and running beyond the line. Herrera and Carrick to mop up any threats and we don't need Fellaini since Chelsea mostly play on the ground and Costa is way off form.

If we somehow are leading in the game, I expect us to sit back and defend. And concede a goal.

    Happily take another draw.

Copy and paste for the majority of our remaining fixtures.

Why not just go for it, no difference in 5th that 10th to be honest.

Go for the Europa League, go for wins, draws don't do us much at this point of the season.

    I'll let Jose know.

I'm normally pessimistic when playing teams like CFC (ie. top teams), but I'm strangely confident.
    2-0.

    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Carrick
    Pogba
    Mkhytaryan Zlatan Martial
Going with our strongest possible XI. I don't know why I'm feeling confident? May be because we have lost twice to them already which makes me think that we are not going to let them beat us for the third time in a row.

Interesting lineup - why do you think we should play Rashford as a DM?

Take a look again, Rashford is not "as a DM". It'll be a back six with full backs tucked in. That's how we line-up in big games. Have you watched us this season?

Hazard will try his usual 'run into opposition payer, fall over, feign injury' to get people booked. Do we know who the ref is? the ref will be critical to the outcome of this, sadly.

It's Michael Oliver again. Just kidding it's Bobby Madly

Everyone* seems to think that Hazard will win Chelsea the game by 'diving'. If he wins them the game, it'll be because he's the best fecking player in the league.

    *Two people...

The way this season is going for us I wouldn't be surprised if we leathered the nailed on champs something like 4-0 and then go and royally hit the self destruct button against Anderlecht.

It's funny I think Pogba has been poor this season yet I could also see him scoring a magnificent goal against us.

Pogba will hit the post, for sure. In fact, he will batter the woodwork.
I doubt he will score a goal, though.

Dont set yourself up for disappointment because there is always room for Fellaini.

When you look at the PL games against Chelsea you have to go back a bit to see something pleasant.

Manchester United are without a win in eight Premier League games against Chelsea (D4 L4); their longest ever winless streak against a single opponent in the competition.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are looking to achieve a league double over Manchester United for the first time since the 2009/10 season under Carlo Ancelotti.

A win for the away side would see Antonio Conte become the fourth Chelsea boss to record a Premier League double over the United, after Glenn Hoddle in 1993/94, Jose Mourinho in 2004/05 and the aforementioned Ancelotti in 2009/10.

United have scored just three goals in their last 10 games against Chelsea in all competitions (an average of 0.3 per game).

N'Golo Kante has netted each of Chelsea's last two goals against the Reds in all competitions - they are his only goals in 34 appearances for Conte's side.

United's Premier League unbeaten run now stands at 21 matches (W11 D10 L0) - the joint 10th longest unbeaten run in the history of the competition.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been involved in 18 goals in his last 17 Premier League appearances (13 goals, 5 assists) for United...

Hazard will try his usual 'run into opposition payer, fall over, feign injury' to get people booked. Do we know who the ref is? the ref will be critical to the outcome of this, sadly.

He won't have M.Oliver helping him in this game...lucky for us, unlucky for him.

I can't see us scoring a goal so we'll need an excellent defensive performance to get anything from the game. Defeat here will probably lead to Mourinho publicly abandoning top 4 aspirations in favour of the Europa League.

    I reckon 0-1.
