    Zlatan not the biggest miss
It’s okay not playing Zlatan Ibrahimovic after his sluggish effort against Anderlecht and you can understand the reasoning behind a bit of youthful pace.

But who in this team is going to provide the balls for Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard if you haven’t got Michael Carrick or Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the team?

If we do that I will be really happy. He is taking one hell of a risk though.
Yep but it's a risk worth taking. Top four is well and truly gone now our upcoming fixtures in the league are brutal and Liverpool are not going to drop enough points.

Jose has a free pass, rightfully, this year but if he continues playing Lingard, Young and Fellaini next year he can blame Martial, Shaw etc but he only has himself to blame if he will get fired, and he will. There is no way we will progress with these kind of players.

Agreed, next season if the likes of Fellaini, Lingard and Young play as much as they have this season then we'll be in another battle for mediocrity.

Also, clearly he has given up on top 4. So I would like to see them play more positive today. No negative bullshit from mourinho and I will be happy out

What if we try and lose 4-0?

Commentators just ripping this team apart. Hazard-Costa-Pedro against Young-Rashford-Lingard. Hahahahahahaha. This is sad regardless of Europa league. This is what we are putting out against Chelsea at home in the middle of April.

    Trust Ander and Pogba ffs!!

I'm gonna have the F1 and the football on split screen.

It might be that we're going with 3-5-2, not 4-3-3.

There's only one thing worse than the people complaining about the line-up, and that's people complaining about the people complaining about the line-up.
There's also the ones moaning about the people complaining about the ones critical of the lineup.:)

I'm eagerly awaiting the epic battle of Fellaini vs Kante. They will write books and songs about it, one day.

Not even gonna bother watching. If we aren't even going to make an effort to win, why should I waste my time watching it?
It's hard not to be negative with that line-up. Are we really scared off Anderlecht at home. Crikey times are bad.

This will be an abomination there's absolutely no doubt about it.

The fact is if we win the Europa League it will have been a decent season and Jose knows that. But you can't change the fact we have downed tools in the league completely to focus on beating a shite Belgian team.

The football has been shit all year and we have to get rid of the complete shit that has clogged up our team for years. How hard is it to get Fellaini out the door?

I didn't think that a day would come where we would be the underdogs in an EL march against the mighty Anderlecht at the mighty Old Trafford after spending £150m. It's amazing really!

Worried about us creating enough chances to score. We'll see what Jose has in mind, hope he has a trick up his sleeve

The trick is sit and hope to get a chance or two on the counter with the pace we have up front. We are playing to stop Chelsea rather than going out to try and win the game which isn't on IMO. This is a must win game and we are at home, we should be throwing everything we have at them.

Looking at the teams left in the Europa Fergie would have walked that competition and never had to give up on the league. Anderlect at home and we're shitting it to the point of giving up on top 4.

I just can't believe we're still lining up with Young and Fellaini in our team when it was clear years ago they weren't good enough. They honestly wouldn't even stand out at Stoke or Swansea.

Is trying a bad thing now? not like there's an away leg
Definitely, in my opinion. The backlash from the footballing world if we lost 4-0 again would be incredible. I would much rather we play a cautious game personally.

I saw a similar kind of team when we beat Arsenal a few years back.

    Let's see what happens.
Everyone is having a good moan now, so either it will be a pleasant surprise or they have got the moaning out of their system before the game and after calmness will prevail.

Is this potentially Darmian in a back 3 with Valencia and Young as wing backs?

Would make us a bit more solid and means Pogba is hopefully given a licence to go and support Rashford and Jesse today

What makes us underdogs? We just went away and drew 1-1.

    That's my guess

    Rooney not a talking point
It says so much about Wayne Rooney’s decline at United that his omission today is not even a talking point.

He trained on Wednesday, didn’t travel to Brussels and last played over two weeks ago. It is safe to say he has just been overlooked today rather than ‘not risked’. The brutal truth is he is probably not good enough for the United 18 anymore.

Furthermore, his agent Paul Stretford, who used to angrily call sports desks concerning his client’s future is now not knocking down suggestions United could be open to a swap deal involving Everton’s Romelu Lukaku. These are the last weeks of Rooney’s United career.

Not sure why we there is a melt down: we have universal realisation that we must prioritise Europa as best way into Champions League: well this is what prioritisation looks like!

I'm sure Mourinho has discussed with the board and also gotten their approval on this pragmatic approach.

Sky hyping this up as Jose being after revenge.
