Good goal by Antony unfortunately this means I will get texts saying how good he is by someone who never sees him play thus not knowing how poor he usually is
We have some serious shit to do next summer. Elanga, McT, AWB and Maguire must be sold.
Awb did nothing wrong lately but his attacking game is awful
I know it's a very lazy comparison and only based on less than 45 mins but Mainoo reminds me of Pogba playing as a 10.
You can tell he's got the confidence by the way he moves so nonchalantly and his relaxed touches but he looks a bit positionally lost; he doesn't seem to be moving with and without the ball fast enough/with purpose.
He looks a talent but maybe needs to be a bit deeper to see more of the ball.
Pellistri goes to the WC and does decently for Uruguay. Comes back and Elanga's getting all those sub/cup match minutes.
You'd have to be bemused if you were Facundo right now.
He loves a curler Antony.Quite good. Left footed curler to the far post. Unsaveable.
I don't think that has been decent.Decent first half, could easily been 2-0.
The blistering pace of Robben means that even if he was to cut on to his left, it would not matter because he was past the defender before they knew it.Robben was a much better with the ball through.
Antony right now basically stop any time he is trying to beat someone
Reminded me of an opposite Ashley Young curler. He loves a curler Antony.
Maguire can serve as an excellent third choice CB for us. The dropoff from Maguire to -- take your pick -- Lindelof, Bailly, Jones and Tuanzebe is considerable.
The issue is pace, Robben had lots of it, Antony doesn;t.Robben used to have one move and everyone knew that he'll cut inside. Still made it work. Maybe Antony will too.
Those passes have been backwards and two yards. He’s playing in the centre of the pitch against Charlton!!! Watch him, he 110% hides when the back line are looking to progress through the lines. He has always done it and he is particularly obvious at it tonight. Shambles of a player. He hasn't been good but only Martinez (46 to his 45) has made more passes than McTominay. Not hiding, just not playing well.
That’s to be expected as we’re playing with 9 men and the classic McFred duo in the middle.I don't think that has been decent.
Against a team letting us start at 20 yards from their goal and we can't get more than a couple of shots on target .
We've no idea how to create.
Martinez is so good. His decision making, positioning and passing is just superb.
Robben used to have one move and everyone knew that he'll cut inside. Still made it work. Maybe Antony will too.
Hasn't really got goingWhat’s mainoo been like?
Invisible. Not ready. What’s mainoo been like?
This is some amount of horse manure.Maguire can serve as an excellent third choice CB for us. The dropoff from Maguire to -- take your pick -- Lindelof, Bailly, Jones and Tuanzebe is considerable.
What’s mainoo been like?
Quite the passenger thus far. What’s mainoo been like?
Even Giggs wasn't this one footed!
Lindelof is far better player than Maguire. Especially under ETH and this systemMaguire can serve as an excellent third choice CB for us. The dropoff from Maguire to -- take your pick -- Lindelof, Bailly, Jones and Tuanzebe is considerable.
Not quite ready yet then. I watched some highlights of him on YouTube for the youth team. Looks a decent player but obviously it’s a different game playing with men.Quite the passenger thus far.
All 3 comments are wrongLindelof is better than Maguire. Shaw might be too. Casemiro as centre back is better too
Maguire is not better than Lindelof. EtH doesn't share your opinion.Maguire can serve as an excellent third choice CB for us. The dropoff from Maguire to -- take your pick -- Lindelof, Bailly, Jones and Tuanzebe is considerable.
Probably one of them players that needs a run of games to settle in.Invisible mostly but its nice that he is getting some playtime
He played CF quite a bit for the youth teams. It's really underwhelming that he's so easy to dispossess considering he's an attacking player. It's as though he possesses no guile at all - he literally just runs in a straight lineI’m not watching the game but aren’t you all a bit harsh for Elanga he is playing a position he isn’t used to.
Elanga has to be one of the poorest footballers at the club. No future for him here.
Someone said it earlier, but our players are getting too congested right in front of their box as Charlton are playing an extremely low block. That doesn’t look like it plays to Mainoo’s strengths. Not quite ready yet then. I watched some highlights of him on YouTube for the youth team. Looks a decent player but obviously it’s a different game playing with men.
