That made me laugh. I had similar thoughts when I read the original postWe could do with a second goal to put this to bed. Playing well and all that but at 1-0 its still on a knife edge. Should Charlton equalise they won't mind taking their chances with penalties.Missed most of the 1st half, surprised by the mainoo inclusion. How's he doing? He's above Iqbal now!?I’m not watching the game but aren’t you all a bit harsh for Elanga he is playing a position he isn’t used to.If you imagine how a goalkeeper would play if you put them in midfield, that’s how McTominay just played.Fantastic first 30 mins or so from Garnacho. He's such a talent.Feels like we've taken our foot off the gas since the goal. Hope the Dalot injury isn't a serious oneAntony is too predictable. Unless he grows a right foot this will only end one way.Not bad, not great. Another goal quickly after HT needed.It actually makes me sad that Anthony has made it as a professional football, despite having zero ability on his weaker foot. For me, its the bare minimum requirement. University level players have more ability with both feet.

Ole's 50m rated fbMcTominay and Antony haven't had a good half. One trick pony and no Robben comparisons, please. His passing is almost always off.Our forward play has been really poor. Excessive passes, over-playing and inaccurate. Elanga lacks incisiveness and always appears to be in twon minds!
Charlton have huffed and puffed but can easily be level with a bit more quality. Need to sort ourselves up front.Should have been up by a lot more. Alas, bad finishing and bad luck. Also playing with 9 men. Mainoo might as well not be on the pitch and Elanga is just abysmal.

He's downloaded the Rooney crossfieldping pack.Omg Anthony's general play is really bad.I know Antony scored but he has failed to threaten their fullback in a way you expect him to given the difference in divisions between two sides. Slightly concerning to be honest.We really need a striker. Elanga is completely hopeless up front the poor sodI trust ETH but it is hard to see how he justified spending that few in Antony.

He's also 17. So the fact that he reminds you of world cup winning captain Pogba is already quite impressive.Anthony really is a bit shit and yet he somehow manages to score some lovely goals. But his all round general play is... questionable.If your'e a Charlton man you're quite pleased with the state of the match going into halftime. This game has basically been the back 4, Fred and Garnacho running it for us.Quite like Mainoo, yes he hasn't been spectacular but there is a nice balance and composure in how he takes the ball, plenty there to work with. Struggling to get the tempo right, McT is continuing his poor form from the last round, playing with anxiety.HT
We are in full control as you’d expect. Garnacho best player on the park by a country mile. Fred has done well too and very unlucky to not be on the scoresheet himself. Elanga, McTominay & Mainoo have contributed very little. Other than the wonder goal by Antony, his all round game still leaves me worried. Gutted about Dalot’s injury. Hope it’s nothing serious but when a player sits down and signals to be taken off then it isn’t a good sign.Dominated the game, lots of possession, but we created little. When we do, our final ball is quite poor. Maguire and Garnacho the only positives.

Fixed that for youI really hope we give Amad as many opportunities to prove himself as we have given to ElangaOne day we’ll no longer need to play the likes of Elanga and McTominay. Bogging, the pair of them.
