If only some other players had done the same...
But no, club has apparently draw a line on Herrera.
Was offered a contract and didn't want to sign. Yeah, he deserves a proper send off :wenger:

Why are people more upset about Herrera not starting than Valencia. He deserved a send off instead of the 10 minute cameo he'll get when Dalot comes off.

I am just fed up when OGS talks it up but never delivers. He can talk the talk but can’t walk the walk.

Unless he said 11 youth players will start the game, what is he not delivering?

Good chance Garner and Gomes will play at least 30 mins and Greenwood is starting.

snowflakes? Ffs i am arguing with an idiot.

And yet you're the one who substitutes in emoticons for a counter argument.

No you're right Rashford starting is the same as Harrop starting and Ole not having to rest players for a EL final is a good reason for a united manager to ignore youth.

Disappointing line up,had hoped for more youth.
I actually thought Gomez,Chong and Greenwood would all start today.
One sub will be used on Valencia,so i hope the other 2 are for Gomez and Garner.

Have no problem that Herrera is dropped.

Im only watching this for Greenwood, hope he has a great game:devil:

I really like Herrera and gutted he is leaving, but wtf? Are we now some lower league side treating a game as a testimonial for their departing hero?

He is gone, we both move on.

Still don't know whether to watch this or Liverpool-Wolves

Edging towards Liverpool-Wolves then watching this later if I hear good things because I've had my fill of tumescent footy for one season.

Lingard is still developing guys jeez. He just needs another year or two on loan and he'll be just about good enough to warm the bench for Newcastle.

Why not though. Instead we are giving Pereira his 100th chance for us when its clear he is not good enough?

Because Herrera chose to leave. We wanted to keep him.

Valencia is a captain and long time servant of the club. The club decided it was time for him to move on. Herrera is not a long time servant, not a captain and decided to leave when the club wanted him to stay.

Giving Herrera a farewell would take the shine off Valencia's who deserves it alot more. Why give one last game to someone who has decided to leave off their own back, when we should be focusing on who will be here next year. This may be a last chance to impress for some players.

Btw where is harrop? Jose didnt play him again.

Yeah calling peoole snowflakes and smilies r the same thing.

Valencia is injured, has been for ages.

The 10 minute cameo will get him the round of applause he deserves.

Why would a United fan watch that game over ours?

No stick, he has cut ties with us so let go.

What is the need for a fully fledged good bye etc? Only been here 5 years.

What? You literally just said this:

For what!? 5 years service where he looked ok in a few games but is distinctively average and then decides to feck off to PSG on a free?

    Nah feck him.

Your post is garbage. Herrera won our player of the year recently, you don't win that by looking 'ok in a few games'.

He is 'only' on £60k a week whereas his peers (who aren't even as good as him) are on double that or more.

He obviously loves the club and 5 years is a good amount of time to spend here. You don't know what goes on behind the scenes and why he didn't sign a new contract, but can you really blame him?

You just come across as a bitter fickle fan. I'm not saying he needs to have a farewell party, just show some more respect.

The hate for Jesse is absurd. He is a good squad player and we have traditionally always needed and made good use of them.

He is gone, we both move on.
Judging by the reaction You'd think he's been here for 10+ years.

If I understand we will start in July if Watford wins FA cup?

Yeah, if Watford wins FA cup and we finish 6th then Europa league starts in July. It's hilarious people expect so many young players when we have something meaningful to play and not mess up next season.

Yeah, shame, Ole is all talk no action.

Greenwood is playing, Garner and Gomes are on the bench.

It isn't going to all suddenly change over night.

We need a win here even if it means feck all.

So we should get 5th just in case?
