Ole can’t wait to start Lingard but Martial stays on the bench. I think he won’t last till next May to be honest with this favoritism of dross.

Martial shouldn't even be on the bench.
He can't be bothered in important games.
He's not about to bust his arse for this dead rubber

Jose Mourinho had more balls to field more youth in the team on the last game of the season. Why can’t Gomes start over the shitty midfield that gets dominated by every team in the league? Coward.

Fuming at that lineup. Very disappointed in Ole, thought he would back the youth much, much more than that. LVG puts him to shame on this score.

Also, is our player of the year injured? Why Pereira at DM? It's a trainwreck of a lineup.
LvG plays youth more than any manager in the world. Unfair comparison. Shaw wasnt in the squad at all, probably has a knock. Chong probably has a knock otherwise he wouldve been in the squad for sure. "Fuming at the lineup" ffs calm your shit. The midfield and attack are all academy graduates. Greenwood is the youngest starter for Manchester United in premier league history. Rashford is 21. Dalot is 20. Pereira and McTominay are players who still have loads of developing to do, are relatively young and it's not like they start or play every game. Also academy graduates so of course theyll get some game time. Garner for mctominay/Pereira isnt a big difference. Gomes could have started for Lingard, but this way he'll be subbed on. Its not a huge difference, and this way Greenwood has a better platform to perform instead of setting them up for failure with all of them being youth players.

Really hope all the first team players who aren't in the squad are still there to cheer them on, and show their faces for the walk of shame at the end.

Ole let us down a bit with this lineup imo.

So all this cause one more youth didn't start. Incredible.

Jose had a EL final to think about. Maybe thats why.

I didn’t want him to go, but you don’t reward a player who is leaving a sinking ship. You reward the ones that stay

Yeah, just look at the likes of Jones, Young, Lingard, etc., very loyal players who all earn their ~150k a week in every game they play.

What a depressing lineup. I was hoping for more young players and Ole to send out a message, but here we are with Young and Jones starting another game. Good times
What message was he going to send to them? Jones and Young are here next year. Hopefully young will only be a squad player and Jones will be 4th or 5th choice assuming we strengthen those 2 positions, but Darmian, Rojo and probably Bailly are the defenders leaving this summer, the rest get bumped down in squad place.

Lingard is a RB? Since when?

Very selective of you... You decided to name both Lingard and Young and you then mentioned Gomes and Chong... One rightfully would play ahead of Lingard so which would drop into Young's spot?

    Not difficult.

Guess I'll watch United with a newspaper partly covering the telly.

We had Europa league finals in few days, that's the reason why so many young players started. How many played last year?

Apart from all that, we still have something to play for, finish 5th and avoid season starting in July.

You guys are spoiled brats. Go watch City.

Excited to see Dalot get a start and finally, Mason. Expecting Gomes cameo and a win to end the shite season.

Herrera send off after 5 years and leaving on a free.

Is Val injured? Could have started ahead of Young to give him a nice send off. Same for Herrera. At least give the fans something to cheer about. Instead we are playing that shithouse Young again.

For what!? 5 years service where he looked ok in a few games but is distinctively average and then decides to feck off to PSG on a free?

    Nah feck him.

    good post.

People claim how Ole will be ruthless and sell dross. But from what i see he rates highly Lingard and Jones. Biggest dross in our squad.

So fecking dramatic. We have 6 academy graduates in the midfield and attack, our biggest talent is starting who happens to become our youngest league starter, and we have a 20 year old in defence (and for the others we literally have no other options anyway.

People are essentially complaining about Gomes for Lingard and Garner for McTominay or Pereira, which is just so fecking small and irrelevant.
