The big wig up front paid off.
That's why.Playing Mata with these sort of tactics is absolutely pointless. we just bypass him most of the time.
They have dominated so far as you would expect and created a couple of openings now they have scoredNot going to plan so far.
They have barely seen the ball
Boom! Goal!I'm not saying we're switching to hoofball just because he's there, I'm saying that playing with him that far up the pitch implies that we want to use his aerial strength as a key part of our strategy. Think about how different that attack would look with ADM and Mata behind RVP instead of Fellaini and Mata. Fellaini has been fairly decent this season. That doesn't change the fact that one of his major strengths is playing with the ball in the air.
The big Fellatio with the knockown ball...right out of the Sam Allardyce playbook!
That's why.
I love that this was the post threadmarked as the Mata goalNot going to plan so far.
He's been phenomenal so far.Absolutely brilliant from McNair to start all that.
Its why we are playing Fellaini where we are, they have to get out to us otherwise the long ball will work, when they do come out it opens space up.we didn't bypass him this time, his pass opened them up.
