Maguire was shepherding him wide and he’s taken a snap shot early that’s gone past him, happens all the time in that position, it’s a good finish.

Similar happened to Van Dijk on Tuesday. Sometimes it's just a good finish.

A joy to watch sparks of great technique and bravery from Sancho. Can’t think of anyone else in our squad capable of the things he pulls of without a sweat.

He makes the small passes and touches that no other of our players do. He makes it look easy and natural, but most of our other players just doesn’t pull it of like him.

It’s not all perfect with him yet, put he has it in him. And he has the confidence. He will be very important for us in the coming years.

Ronaldo should have bagged a first half hat trick. Our wide players have been a bit meh, chances to get the ball in first time but it's either delayed or doesn't get past first defender. I'm not surprised our attackers don't make runs into box, they never expect to get the ball!

Come on now, he could've done better. He didn't even get tight or try to really put Lennon off, something Bailly would've done of it was the other way round. Bailly saved Maguire's ass on at least one different occasion in that half.

So many of our fans make it into a mystery why he has given so many starts. The guy gives tactical flexibility, can play box to box, can sit, can drop into CB when needed. Wins a ton of the ball in the air, always surprises me how many underestimate the importance of that in the PL, and is a real physical presence on the pitch. Of course he has his flaws, sometimes technically lacking, can be a bit clumsy, and has periods where he is not involved on the ball enough.

His best attributes are very useful for this team, which is not something you can confidently say about the likes of VDB.

Enjoyable half of football a welcome change from the last two dour performances. Only disappointment was the lennon goal, united effort at defending it almost as poor as Greenwoods effort at growing a mustache.

Sancho until right before the goal was terrible and improved after scoring.

They must go harder second half and kill off Burnley... otherwise they can actually come back to the game.
