I don't know about you but i expect from first choice defender to stop attacker in that situation. He didn't take the ball, he didn't block the shot and he didn't push Lennon wide. That is bad defending

Shaw is without a doubt our best left back, it's not even a close contest between him and Telles.
AWB has been caught out position a few times which led to some dangerous situations, but you could put that down to a lack of fitness. I'd still have him ahead of Dalot all day long.As long as Harry is on the pitch Burnley have a chance

I reckon it’s nailed on for AWB just as much on that side.
Watch when he’s under pressure how he links well and gets us out of being pressed nicely, it initiates attacks well and he’s there to link with more effectively than Dalot further up the pitch imo.
I called this with both of them. I don’t rate Dalot/Telles at all tbh.

a) leaving him out for a few more
b) playing him up top with RonaldoProps to McTom, having a great game as the advanced midfielder which to be fair he’s much better at than CDM.
Good to see Sancho and Greenwood keeping the width and combining with fullbacks, especially Shaw.
Shaw has been much better in the same way that Telles was playing much worse than Dalot previously. The big improvement is on the left side.At the game. McTominay best player on the pitch by a mile. Full backs much improved. Maguire looks the weak link wherever the ball goes near him.- Status
