Happy with the line up apart from Mata, might get a bit bullied.

Was thinking maybe this is Mata playing that Lingard false 9 role with Lukaku and Rashford as the wide forwards

I hope so but I'm not sure he has the legs for it the way Lingard has, these changes make us a far more ponderous side IMO.

Not going to get the 4 or 5-1 hammering I was hoping for today with that lineup but should still be enough to get the job done. 2-0 to United.

It's probably going to be a game like this where we get a 0-0 to break the winning streak.

Still expecting a win tonight. 9/9 incoming.

Seeing Smalling back, albeit on the bench, is a huge plus.

Stoked that Pereira is starting in this game given it's going to be a case of breaking down a very physical Burnley team. He can be a nice foil for Pogba who will be getting doubled up on and also means Herrera gets some rest!

Lukaku RW again..one of the redcaf weird ideas that came true!

Sitting here looking for a stream on my PC and realized I have a FireTV in my office with the NBC app on it. One of the perks of being my own boss.

I'm looking forward to seeing Andreas. The CL game he came in for was rubbish so hopefully he gets a better chance to show what he can do in a team on the up.

Interested to see how Pereira does though. He looked poor against Reading so I hope he's improved since.
I'm interested to see him too but I don't take too much thought into that reading game. Too many changes at once in that side. Everyone was disjoint. Here he's playing along two of the first names on the team sheet for midlfied. Hoping he will get a good game and impress.

    That would've been mine

Seeing Lukaku and Mata again in the front three gives me a bad feeling.
Especially if it's Mata on the right and Lukaku middle. I would hope Lukaku is on the right again but Mata isn't a false 9 and won't press like Lingard.

Suspect it will be 2 up front with Mata as the tip of the diamond?

Can't see Lukaku being on the right. That would put Mata on the left?

2 up top who move in and out?

Looks like a team that will make the game harder than it should be. Mata and Pereira should be nowhere near the starting 11.

If we line up with Mata on the right, Rashford on the left, and Lukaku through the middle, I think we will really struggle. That really plays to our weaknesses, i.e. Lukaku's touch, and Mata's lack of pace. However, if we use a diamond with Mata in the hole, and Rashford and Lukaku as a pair, I think it'll suit us much better. Of course it means that we'll rely heavily on the full backs to provide width, and Pogba and Andreas to give them cover in wide areas on the counter.

No Dalot? What does the kid do wrong. Young was very poor against Arsenal but OGS seems to like him. I dont really see much leadership from Young. Dalot would've been perfect for this game especially because he adds height. Sanchez got subbed off against Arsenal because of fitness but he should be starting over Mata when he is playing with confidence. Just looking at the lineup the same way I wouldve if Jose was manager. Really odd decisions. This is a PL game we need to win, seems a bit naive not to play full strength.

For the game I like the changes,

Burnley will sit back, won’t leave much space in around the back so pace in attack,

Mata with his ability on the ball, his lack of pace should be an issue in this game

Lukaku played well on Friday, has scored goals vs Burnley & physical side could be helpful

Herrera hasn’t been rested much, we should have a lot of the ball in and around Burnley’s box so good game for Peiriera to show some promise

A it nervous as It's easy to under-estimate Burnley who can be bloody awkward team to play against. I guess like Ole said, if players are here then he has to trust them but not sure I would. I'm yet to see some have a good game here under any circumstance.
