Is Amrabat in contention? I worry we'll get completely overrun in midfield against this lot with Eriksen in there with Casemiro.
Amrabat rusty with no proper training or pre-season feels like an accident waiting to happen. I’d rather see him not start until the Carabao.

    Onana
    AWB---Lindelof----Maguire---Dalot
    Casemiro
    McTom---Erikson
    Bruno---Hojlund---Rashford

    2-4 scoreline I reckon.

I get we’re looking for options but playing a guy who’s over 2,000 years old is pretty desperate.
    Can't beat experience,

    Just don't get him cross...etc

Martinez is spotted in training which is great news. Not seen any training pics of Amrabat yet though?

No Ferguson by the sound of De Zerbi this morning and Fati isn’t stating.
Should really be getting 3 points here

Hojlund looked sharp in training and looks up for it , Amrabat has had a slight back injury but has been training with the group so will probably make the bench tomorrow

Martinez is spotted in training which is great news. Not seen any training pics of Amrabat yet though?
He was training with the first team today , Amrabat is also training with the core of the first team after a back injury

    Onana
    Wan-Bissaka - Lindelof - Martinez - Dalot
    Amrabat - Casemiro
    Fernandes - Eriksen - Rashford
    Hojlund

Dalot was one of the best players against Arsenal so cant be dropping him for Reguilon.

Nothing on Amrabat so far. Hopefully it's in the embargoed section and he is ready to play. Otherwise I'd start McTominay next to Casemiro.

Not going to happen, he never plays there for Argentina either.
ETH will start Bruno on the RW, which has rarely worked in the past

He subbed him on there against Arsenal and if Hojlund plays, having a right footer on the RW providing rather than a left footer trying to score it's probably something he's thinking about again.

Can't believe 5Live aren't covering this... west ham vs City instead while 5 Xrtra has Samoa against Outer Mongolia in the rugby... not even on the main talksport.. hidden on talkcrap2

    Onana
    Wan-Bissaka - Lindelof - Martinez - Dalot
    Casemiro Eriksen
    . Fernandes
    Pellistri Hojlund Rashford

If Pellistri doesn't play, given the options we have currently, then serious questions need to be asked why he wasn't allowed to go on loan.

    Onana
    Awb Lindelof Martinez Dalot
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Pellistri Bruno Rashford
    Hojlund

The squad to so thin on numbers...

You could try Garnacho out of position on the right, or start Pellistri after travelling back from south America, or push Bruno out wide...hardly a wonderful set of options to pick from.

But with the trio of Casemiro/Bruno/Rashford on the pitch a win is always possible, so lets just hope they are at it from the first whistle.

Unless Hojlund is some sort of a revelation I expect us to lose this match.

Ferguson expected to make the bench. I expect we’ll line up as

    Verbruggen
Veltman - Van Hecke - Dunk - Estupinan
    Groß - Gilmour
    March - Pedro - Mitoma
    Welbeck

With minutes for Fati, Ferguson (if fit) and probably Lamptey in the second half.

He subbed him on there against Arsenal and if Hojlund plays, having a right footer on the RW providing rather than a left footer trying to score it's probably something he's thinking about again.

    I hope you're right.
I would definitely prefer that over Bruno starting there

Full of optimism the CAF, as always

More than half think we're going to win. I'm just expecting the better footballing side to win not least given we're lacking four first XI players and we were already thin in terms of tactical aptitude. Every change almost requires a tactical compromise.
