The midfield is as bad as ever, though. McFred just isn't good enough and never will be. If this game doesn't convince the board to go on a spending spree to build up the midfield then nothing will.

WrongA lot of talk about individuals, understandably but this shape needs work.
High line, 2 slow CB's, with the second midfielder extremely high and very little depth defensively when it breaks down. Teams are going to get a lot of joy on the counter against this set up even with players added.

Our central midfielders don’t want ball. Our attackers are non exsistent. Our defenders are like our defenders.Half the team just don't look like footballers, not surprising we're coming unstuck against a footballing team like Brighton.
Perhaps against some other teams we'd look ok. You can see how Liverpool and City take us to the cleaners in second gear.
