Not really. We finished 5 points ahead of Liverpool where they were horrendous and us supposedly having a 'great' season. We were 11 points behind Arsenal last season.Can't wait for the game today.

I am well aware this season is not going to be easy and even top 4 is going to be a struggle, watching MOTD last night it’s plain to see that other teams have had excellent preseasons but the highly competitive nature of the PL is going to once again be a source of great entertainment (and pain), but I am excited to see what we can do and how EtH can transform our dysfunctional club into a title challenger once again.
Here’s to hoping that the perennial frustration of being a United fan in recent years can at the very least be broken up by signs of progress as the manager inculcates his brand of football on the squad. They can often tease the slightly bigger teams. I think they can expose some of our weaknesses in the physical game and I'm not sure we will win today.
I hope that Ronaldo is neither in the starting line-up nor on the bench. He has only been available for one game in the preseason and only got 45 minutes. In addition, he has shown that he would like to play for a team other than us. In my eyes, Ten Hag will make his first big visible mistake if Ronaldo is in the squad today. Take each game as it comes and see where we end up.I’m actually looking forward to this game on the basis that yes we haven’t had much recruitment in the transfer window but from what I have seen so of the Gaffer is he is instilling a his own ideas and methods with this team and if most of the team is the same as last then we should be able to compare the progress made.
