Add Chris Kavanagh to the list of shit refs

Id be fuming if de gea didn't save that Ronaldo chance.

That's my problem when people talk about upgrading de gea. Itl be an awfully hard pill to swallow for a few years thinking "de gea would have saved that".
It is that obssesion about gk being deep lying playmaker or something.

Some nice football there. Hopefully CR can get a goal. Dalot is poor. Two good full backs would make a huge difference.

Elanga did well for the goal but I think he is pretty limited overall unfortunately.

Hmm, the one half where we have actually played well. Makes you wonder…

Doesn't mean anything. There was only 1 English player against Arsenal and we lost 3-1. The big different is Mata and no Mata.

Unless you blame that Arsenal result on Sancho.

It's time they just let a computer do the VAR measurements and automate the whole process. These fecking spanners couldn't even put a shelf up straight

I've never trusted the angles they use for VAR, surely that can put up a few mor cameras that can get a more proper view of the lines?

Don't trust the referees in the room either tbh

We are in the phase with VAR that cricket had with DRS. Skepticism, trial and error, general distrust. Now everyone seems pretty happy with DRS in cricket. It took a long time to get right though.

VAR could benefit from a challenge system rather than the confusing way it’s used now. Each team gets a challenge. The captain can call for a review and if it’s upheld you keep the challenge.

    This would address

    1. most goals could be celebrated because teams wouldn’t challenge what seemed a good goal.
    2. VAR would be less involved.
    3. Teams would have control of challenging. You feel it’s a pen ask for a review.
    4. takes away the weirdness of refs deciding what to review and what not to review.

Yep. Think we're all aware of his weaknesses but we've also become so used to his shot-stopping over the last decade that we're gonna notice it when he's gone.

I am not saying it's definitely a shocking decision but surely Mata's ahead of or level with Ronaldo here. Ronaldo's head position doesn't suggest that he's ahead of the ball.

To get that goal scrubbed off would make you furious.

Well we've seen Ronnie O'Sullivan clinch the World Championship of Snooker, can our Ronnie go on and win the World Championship of scoring against Brentford? Stay tuned to find out

Honestly, I say football has to follow Marco van Basten's advice and just scrap the offside rule forever.
then you’d just have basket ball players standing in the opposition box all day long. boring.’

And the shot stopping or lack thereof will be alot be noticeable than anything else I'd imagine.

    Mata can play football

    Matic can play football

    Ronaldo can play football

it's fun watch some of our players being able to play football

We are only a year or so removed from De Gea having the most mistakes in the league right? He’s had a good year but he was very poor last season.

I knew something might explain todays performance.

Who knew benching downtooling players would elevate performance on the pitch ?
The players that downed tools deserve to be told to feck off by ETH. No "clean slates". We all know they are.

then you’d just have basket ball players standing in the opposition box all day long. boring.’
Luuk De Jong would be competing for the Ballon D'or.

@RedDevilQuebecois I was memeing  You are correct.

There's no way these absolute muppets will allow anyone to dare question their authority. It's a good idea but the referee's union are so fecking insecure about any decisions being scrutinised and them having to admit they made a mistake, or multiple mistakes.

The sooner we feck them off for a robot the better.

We normally concede In games like this in first 15 mins after half time

It was worth a VAR check, but unshockingly VAR got it wrong.
