Discussion Your Lineup Prediction

  • Bournemouth have the same form we have for the past 6 league games, 3 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw.

They have Semenyo doing well going forward again, he finishes quite well

They average 45.2% of the ball so usually their opponents have more of it than them despite being 6th.

Scott hasnt played much this season which is dussappointing for a future England player, but Cook and Christie tend to do a pretty good job in the middle

Defensively they are a bit below par with Senesi less convincing than last season and the younger CBs who play with him having a lot to learn. Kerkez is okay week to week but in the matches against the big name teams he tends to raise his game and play well so I'd expect the same again. Of those young Cbs I mentioned Huijsen seems like a good signing and that hes an improvement on Zabarnyi however he doesnt play that often despite doing better.

Father-in-law took him to a Chelsea game last month. Not exactly fighting a losing battle but we have to win. Much riding on this.
There is more at stake than 3 points...we must do everything to win. For Baguetteboy and the sanctity of his father son relationship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As long as we struggle at set-pieces - it's stupid not to start Maguire. You can say a lot about him, but he is good to have at set-pieces

    Onana
    Yoro Deligt Martinez
    Maz Ugarte Bruno Garnacho
    Amad Mainoo
    Zirkzee

This is a good game to show our mettle and bounce back from disappointing (and disjointed) cup exit.

Cherries are no mugs, expecting a good game, backing us to nick it 2-1 but we're gonna have to work for it.

I suppose the result depends on which United turn up but given our form I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't win. I miss the days when OT was a fortress

Can't see us getting more than a draw in this one. We are actually still not even in decent form in the league

    1-1 draw
    4-0 win
    2-0 loss
    3-2 loss
    2-1 win

    7 points from 15
Dropped more points than we've gained.

and if it wasn't for a dumb foul in the box we would have probably dropped 11 of 15 points in the league

That's a bit of a negative way of looking at it. Personally I think we're playing reasonably well, certainly far better than earlier in the season, but if we could just cut out individual errors and tighten up our defending set pieces. We've gave away very little chances in open play in all of those games, Ipswich probably the exception infact.

Playing 'reasonably well' is utterly useless if we cannot score the goals to control matches.

Our forward line is terrible in this regard, and it constantly forces reactive substitutions which our game management suffers.

I agree about individual errors and set-piece chicanery. Amorim and Co really need to sort the latter, fast.

Lets attack and let them run. This is our Ball-Possession players and they should be able to hold the ball and put a few in.
5-0 with Højlund, Zirkzee, Eriksen, Fernandes & Amad to score....

Look back at the arsenal corners and see what Maguire was doing. Some of it was absolutely baffling.

Zonal marking with nobody in his zone, probably.

Reminds me of Ole going three at the back versus teams with no strikers. The space conceded was gratefully accepted.

But we're also averaging over 2 goals a game since Amorim arrived. I think there's so much to be positive about and I wouldn't claim we're in bad form personally.

Maz is doubdful so probably Garnacho instead of him and I cnt see Martinezto start after his League cup performance. Yoro should start ahead of him.

This is actually a really big game (guess they all are). Best Bournemouth and we go above them, they’re currently 6th going into the weekend. Depending on other results, also puts us only 3 points off 4th.

Yeah it's a must win. I get that we're rebuilding but we have to get wins on board and forest at home was a terrible loss. A win here puts us in a good position and builds on a big win rather than just undoing it

3 points tomorrow and we will be only 2 points behind City. I have to admit that it would mean something to finish above them.

This will be a tough game. Bournemouth play with incredible energy and apply a relentless high press, so maintaining composure and avoiding turnovers in dangerous areas will be crucial—any mistakes are likely to be punished. Considering the busy schedule ahead and Amorim's preference for rotation, here’s the lineup I’d go with:

    Onana
    De Ligt Maguire Martinez
    Antony Casemiro Mainoo Malacia
    Amad Bruno
    Zirkzee

You think he did that on his own or were those his instructions from the manager?
Clearly the manager for all his positives, came with a shit plan for their corners.

If Maguire ignored the plans and that somehow led to a goal, you'd be moaning about that too.
