Has to be vdB‘s last chance, he had so many and failed miserably in all of them. Seems to be the dutch bonus now.
Not worried about the defense, it is Bournemouth, more worried about chasing a break through goal for 95 mins

Confused by the mass panic surrounding the starting lineup. Whether we like it or not, ETH has to use his squad to the fullest because of the fixture congestion. Some of the players not included today will probably play against Everton, which is followed by a match in which the manager can afford to feature a heavily changed lineup while giving some kids a runout. Hopefully that gives the majority of the squad 8 days of rest until the derby.

I understand not overdoing it with Varane but I’d have stuck Martinez in if that’s the case.

Lindelof and Maguire are a pair of fannies.

VDB has another chance from start, CB pairing I didn't see coming. At least Casimero and Eriksen are CM. Rashord and Martial have to be on it tonight.

I think we have to have faith, it's not like these players aren't PL proven (Donny aside). At the end of the day to be in contention for top 4 let alone anything else we need to be able to use our squad and that means they need game time as well to be ready.

Don't like the look of that XI. I'd hoped the Maguire/Lindelof pairing had been consigned to the dustbin of History.

Same here Maguire gives me palpatations

Why has Martinez taken so long to return? Varane played in the final and has been back a while

VDB needs to pull his finger out for once

The overreaction to the line up is truly bizarre.

I disagree. The next 2 games call for rotation. Not tonight though. Yes we should be able to beat Bournemouth but chuckle brothers v2.0 in defence is terrifying.

Was hoping the days of lindelof,Maguire both starting together in a Premier League game was over, hopefully no error prone moments tonight from those two. Another Van be Beek might surprise us all and grab this chance with both arms?

Didn't curtsy when ETH entered the room so it's disciplinary
I know this is a joke but I’m glad we have a taskmaster in charge again. ETH expects nothing less than perfection in all aspects. There will be no slackers and I’m all for that. For too long Utd have been an easy touch, no more!

I understand your concern about Maguire, but Bournemouth will barely get out of their own half tonight. We will be fine.

you'd be happy going out of the FA Cup then?

From zero rotation first half of the season, to rotating half the team at once

What the actual feck. Not in the telly box? Gonna have to get the paddle boat out and find the nearest stream.

I threw up a tiny bit of my fish pie when I read the back four. But, settled down now and ready to watch us secure three big points.

Varane, Martinez, Dalot .. all on the bench.. Thats a positive.. Antony being injured is a disappointment.. Hope Sancho is ready soon too.. we are already light up top

I am less worried about starting lineups these days because we have some kind of a system. And as our system matures, players can come in and go out without too much drop in performances. We have a good enough team out there to get all three points.

Antony not even on the bench today?

Basically our only attacking option from the bench is Garnacho. If we don't score on the first half I'm going to be a wreck of nerves.

Could be maguire and Lindelof last chance to prove they can play to ETH standards. Lets hope they do well. DVB has done well coming off the bench last two games so lets see if he can finally shine. Plenty on the bench if they are lack lustre.

I think we'll be fine. Varane is so important to us and has been shown time and time again this season, i'm glad he's getting a rest in a very winnable game.

    AWB, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw

You've got to be kidding me. That's the stuff of nightmares. Any one of AWB, Maguire or Lindelof is an immediate heart palpitation, but the dreaded back-four of doom?! This won't go well.

The schedule is mental and this is a great opportunity to rotate, so not sure what people were expecting. Varane in particular is injury prone and has to be managed carefully.

I'm from the same area as Travers and follow him closely. If you're worried about Van der Beek or Maguire, don't sweat. Travers is so poor.

Donny must be running out of chances soon, lucky for him we are not drowning in quality options at the moment.

    Quote from SS

Manchester United are yet to win a Premier League game at Old Trafford in which Donny van de Beek has started.”

Come on Donny put that to bed, last chance saloon.

If ETH manages to get VDB playing quality penetrating football I’ll know for sure he’s a God impersonating a bald man.
