Nah, they can and they have done it in the past. I'm not a fan of that term but they are cowards, a few mistakes spooked them into not trying them. If you look at Varane or Martinez they miss some of these passes but move on and try again. Both Maguire and Lindelof are done for the game when they make a single mistake.
