    Don't think we were bad. The goal was a gift and we had a couple of chances but weren't clinical enough. It's an even game so far but we need to be more aggressive in the second half. Don't think anyone played badly, but I'd replace WW in the second half, he just doesn't pose any threat.
     
    Bruno is awful, you have to put those chances away. If Rashy, it is 1-0 to United. Bruno seems to have lost his ability to shoot. United is only relying to Rashford to score goals, the rest of the team basically can no longer score. There is no way, we can win anything with only Rashford firing on all cylinder.

    Absolutely, and it's why a Fred upgrade is so necessary. He has days where he's useful, but his inability to play like a central midfielder on the ball is crushing us tonight. Look at how Busquets and De Jong can just play around our press in 3 passes, whereas they just give Fred some space and wait for him to do something stupid.
     
    Shocking half of football, penalty was soft as but we have been terrible. This obsession with pushing Bruno right is not working either. Sancho is no No.10. We really need to get Rashford and Shaw more involved but if we don’t improve dramatically we are going out with a whimper.
     
    Ref is bent asf.. not sure why I expected anything different in a europa league match against Barcelona.
     
    Well Real put 3 past the Scouse in one half so let's see what our lads are made of. Those for whom this situation is too big need to be fecked off. These are the games we should be playing in every season

    Bruno definitely has money on Barca to win tonight. An incredibly dumb footballer in every aspect of the game.

    Also Fred is too fecking chaotic and it’s jarring me. Get Sabitzer on and get him off.

    I don't think you understand what bias means, its literally the opposite of what you're saying. I'm a United fan saying we havn't been hard done by and you're calling me biased. Biased for who? Barcelona?

    Just randomly looking across news and minute by minute commentaries, cannot find a single one saying it wasn't a penalty. It was a penalty then and its still a penalty, your blinkers won't change that.
     
    This half could have been played in the last couple of seasons. Little invention (cluelessness), laboured in possession, careless in our final third (that pen was incredibly stupid to concede by our captain) and the tactical setup is playing into their hands blunting our most dangerous player.

    Sancho has been terrible first half. Either sub him with Antony and put Fernandes back in the middle, or Antony for Workhorse - he's been just as bad - and Sancho on the left.
     
    Busquets insted of Gavi and Pedri gives still a better team for Barca. Also FDJ is much better as 8. Still believe in ETH. He is better than Xavi so we gonna win this unless the ref pulls another pen or a red card.
     
    Ref really doesn’t want this game to flow does he.
    Games like this show the contrast and deficiencies in our midfield when up against quality. Fred and Bruno’s chaotic ness and inability to play clean in midfield is really a hindrance. Then you see busquets, Kessie and De jong just calmly slotting it around, taking the ball on the turn recycling it, it’s a diff level. We miss Eriksen so bad in games like these.

    I'm really not getting why they deserve the lead? They haven't created a single chance. We have actually had chances that we created.
     
    We have no chance with Wout up top. He is totally out of his depth. That's down to the Glazers.
    ETH will have to gamble now and go with Rashford upfront.

    Sancho and Fred need to be subbed as well.

    That said I'm not exactly devastated if we go out.
     
    Sancho should be off for Garnacho. Weghorst for Antony. Bruno back as a #10, Garnacho left, Antony right, Rashford centre forward.
     
    Can't see how we can keep possession with the likes of Fred, AWB, Weghorst and (currently) Sancho out there. Need players who are comfortable in possession. I have a feeling that Fred will stay on until at least the 80 minute mark though.

    Now add Wan Bissaka and Weghorst in to the mix, combine that with Bruno forcing things all the time and it's no wonder we can't keep possession in important areas of the pitch.
     
    There's not much in the game. United have been a bit loose in possession since going behind but the only difference is really just Bruno missing the only real chance in the game and then conceding the pen. They've controlled the game and kept us at arm's length since, but they haven't created anything to look like getting another. Just need to be better on the ball in the attacking third and take the chances when they come.
